is it true that so far, Astro only has 24 HD channels??? Thats a lil absurd right?since it has been a few years since they introduced Beyond...

it seems to be that astro is pretty active at releasing HD version of their channels this year. Hope this goes on and doesn't stop till all channels are HD(as long as a HD transmission for those channel actually exist of course )

It was like that since April. They took it off the play store, no more in development...

it better be T2 1080p MPEG-4

actually, what I mean is they should be able to go 1080p straight right, since they are only transmitting 4 channels max and not 100s like astro?

so the bandwidth/spectrum requirement is not really too high?

but yeah its most probably gonna end up being T1 720p MPEG-2

to get the first channel up should take some time, but im sure the rest should be quite fast. Even looking at their current shows, Im sure they have archived 1080p version of it, and not just keep the 480/576p version.

Nowadays Im using Hypptv for TV, wonder how fast will they pick up the HD transmission whatever it is, im sure its harder supporting their analog transmission compared to supporting the new digital transmission

oh yes, yes. iinm the tv is the one which will change it to progressive right? sorry, not so well versed in this area
