Singtel just made the annoucement that they are carrying the full package of FIC channels (on Starhub) in addition to new ones like [V]HD, Baby TV HD, STAR Life OK, FOX Action Movies etc (all not on Starhub).

Suspect astro could be in panic mode as FIC will do the same when the exclusive contracts ends on astro.....so they may launch one by one....

Should be the same……SKY sometimes don’t deliver their EPG data on time…on some occasions, starhub would just leave it blank and even indicate “No Events” on the EPG.

Same feed as the UK except when it comes to commercial breaks, international viewers (us) would see some generic SKY News promos.

Suspect another possibility of offering sky news HD is also to "get back" at BBC.

Later Astro will say Sky News is more popular than BBC....and poor ratings on BBC etc....and the drop the channel.

Btw, saw pix on some satellite tv forum that BBC World News HD (available in asia) is now on trial on some satellite

Here is another new 24/7 ch just launched on mio TV, mio Sports 1. mio Sports 2 & mio Sports 3 are part time ch, I.e. will only have programs when there are simulcast matches.

All 3 chs are in HD, will show non BPL programs.

BPL matches will be on mio Stadium HD ch 102 to 104 and mio Stadium SD 105 to 108. Cheers.

The DVB-T2 are not up and running yet. My DVB-T box is spoilt too. According to MDA, the DVB-T2 boxes in SIN will only be available in the market in Mar 2013. Have to see the updates then.

FIC coming soon slide on mio TV. Seems like [V] International is in SD 4:3, unless theyixed up the logos. To verify on Oct. 1 Mon. cheers.

Oh yes, saw a lot of complaints of not offering the same channels on ASTRO Facebook. Keep yr fingers crossed they can wake up their idea.

New ch launches on Starhub tomm.... ANC ka ABS-CBN News Channel, 24/7 Filipino English news channel.....boring. Cheers.

According to the press release, it will be bundled wif another new Filipino movie ch and packaged with the existing 'The Filipino Channel'.....probably targettin the Filipinos here. Mio Tv only has one Filipino ch, GMA Pinoy TV. cheers.

Seems like Astro now likes to drop last minute suprises. Hope competition drives to do more like these.

Fyi, KBS World added the alphabets HD back to their feed. It's located outside the 4:3 safe area. Cheers.
