QUOTE(tweiyang11 @ Aug 11 2012, 03:09 PM) it's been a while since i installed OSX on my dv6 but you're in luck cuz I bookmarked the forum link on how to install it... awww thx here you go... basically all you need to do is restore the image to a usb drive and boot from it to install (borrow a mac from your friend to restore the image but do keep in mind that not all the stuff are working.... like wifi, USB3.0 and the AMD gpu... insanelymac good luck! |

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Aug 12 2012, 08:30 PM) You can download Win7HP-64 SP1 ISO and make it USB bootable. eh acid...if after replace to ssd is it possible to use the ori hdd via something like usb or e-sata something Backup your window license with Activation Backup and Restore or just reactivate using the key under your DV6. Installation is a no brainer. |

QUOTE(storky20 @ Aug 16 2012, 12:46 PM) Just wanna figure out what is your average battery time and discharge rates (using BatteryCare) here is mine Mine usually lasts about 2:40+ with WiFi on and with headphones on with a discharge rate of about -19.5W. Is that a bit too much? My laptop could've lasted up till at least 3 hours in the olden days (6 months ago lol) EDIT: Btw, any advice before I go and buy some RAM for my laptop. Looking to expand it to 8GB so planning to buy another 4GB soon. Anything like certain brands or formats that are not compatible or just not good? with lowest screen brightness and wifi on and music i can last for around 3 n half hour ![]() i did some configuration @ intel graphic propertie for best display output for me i decrease the birghtness to -30 and increase the saturtaion to 6 and it give the best outlook for me This post has been edited by nanamizuki: Aug 17 2012, 06:45 PM |
