Ok,first thing first,a emulator topic should be ok as long as:
-No discuss of bios/rom download,ever.
And it is pretty much legit as long as you:
Rip your own ps2 bios.
Have own your own copy of ps2 game.

QUOTE
Hello PCSX2 followers and a belated Happy New Year!

After being late a couple of days (it's a tradition and we can't break it Razz ), we present you with a new stable release, version 1.4.0! Grab it HERE

Along with the release comes our year end report for 2015. The following progress report will provide an overview of all the notable changes from the previous stable version, 1.2.1, to this update. Keep in mind many of the changes have been mentioned in previous progress reports, but are mentioned again as a changelog for 1.4.0. The changes since 1.2.1 are so many, some smaller, some quite massive, that it was impossible to write about all of them, but we believe we have nailed all the highlights!

This release is special for our growing Linux user base. You will be treated with a shiny new GSdx OpenGL backend, for a massive speed and compatibility boost over 1.2.1 and much more, all thanks to the efforts of Gregory and various contributors!

Generally, this release includes work from many more contributors than any previous versions. It appears that switching to Git as our version control system helped invite more developers and encourages sharing even small patches and additions.

still depends on the game, and the rig you're using.

Motherboard:  Intel DH67CL
Chipset:      Intel H67 (Cougar Point) [B3]
Memory:        8192 MBytes @ 665 MHz, 9.0-9-9-24

not quite, the MGS3 snake eater is quite a taxxing game, I ended up OCing my 2500K to 4GHz just for this game at least for 0.9x PCSX2.

basically for most other games u guys need a Core 2 duo @ 3-3.3GHz or recommended core i3 at least. the 3rd core support is rather poor at least on 0.9x version.

well this is at least save my money repairing my old console. lol

I concur and I re-affirm that Suiko 5 is a must play if you have played Suiko 2 before. It is the last of the series (so far) and I vouch for it as much as talexeh says "BUY/PLAY BASTION NOW".

Haha, congrats to pcsx2 dev team, they are really a marvellous bunch of people. Still remember the good old days where I played FFX at an insane speed of 10fps on my pentium 4 rig laugh.gif Manage to reach besaid island before deciding to give up on the horrible speed. Funny 20fps was awesome back then. biggrin.gif

PCSX2 only benefits from one GPU, crossfire doesn't give any boost.

I remember there is still issue on the cinematics on FFX-2. No issue on FFX though. Hopefully this new release can fix my issue.
