Yes, Jinaun. If you didn't notice, the sudden price drop originated from Dopod themselves during the PC Fair III 2006. Rest assured that it's not something out of the blue or a faulty unit they're selling, the price for a brand new unit is now indeed around RM1600+ with a free 1GB SD Card wink.gif

Not that I'm really happy about it myself, since I got mine for RM2000+ just a week before the PC Fair vmad.gif

Yeap, that's why it was rather unexpected from Dopod

That's reality, I guess. The information age advances way to fast, so if you pause, you're out smile.gif Anyways, the Dopod 818 Pro is fairly satisfactory for this era, I guess...

QUOTE(chypher @ Dec 23 2006, 03:00 PM)
i have another question... can we take picture without the loud snapping sound?

and what is the best setting for our camera?
*
Yes, you can. wink.gif

Go to camera mode, then click on the 'Settings' button.

In there, at the bottom of the screen, click on 'Tools', then 'Options'.

After that, you will see 3 tabs at the bottom of the screen, which are "General", "Image, "Video". Go to the "General" tab. Tick the first checkbox on the page which says 'Disable shutter sound'

Done, no more snapping sounds smile.gif Hope that helps.

Nope, the Dopod 818 Pro is not GPS-enabled. Check out the Dopod site to find out more, mate. I remember seeing only one model having GPS capabilities wink.gif
