it happen when we load too much auto start-up software. Try to keep it awake by pressing any button after soft reset.
If can't then Hard reset it.

i used to write messages with letter recognition method on my pda. as i always write at the same spot, it ended up with scratches. i have got screen protector, my worry is, are the scratches only apply to the screen protector or it had penetrated till the lcd screen? i dun wish to waste my few months old screen protector by opening it to check. any clue?

Dun worry too much, my screen was pretty badly scratched, but that was all on the protector. So i just change it, and it was like brand new. Now I even installed WM6 Pro with HTC Touch interface! rclxms.gif w00t!

I found this Flash SMS software which was specially made for HTC TyTN aka 838p, not sure if it works on 818p

You might want to try it

http://www.stickler.de/downloads/FlashSMS.CAB

FlashSMS is an easy-to-use software to send flash SMS messages right from your windows mobile powered smartphone (WM5 or better required). Flash SMS messages are equal to normal SMS messages except that they appear directly on the mobile display without selecting the message after receiving it. Sometimes Flash SMS messages are displayed in a fancy way f.ex. automatically scrolling on the mobile screen or similar effects.

Target mobile phone numbers can be directly taken from the Pocket-Outlook addressbook. Note: the target phone number must be entered in international format (see screenshot).

The Software has been tested on a HTC TyTN smartphone. There is no guarantee for any functionality. The author takes no responsibilty for any damage or cost caused by the usage of this software.

In other word, when you request for balance via *126# , etc, you get a flash SMS, this is what it does, please let me know if it works

great to hear that! guess i will stay on with the current screen protector till i can't really write (ya know, it's annoyed where character is misformed due to scratches). haha, not in favour with HTC touch interface, i'm still in love with iPhone interface backed by wisbar adv coupled with rlToday. brows.gif

Can anyone advise me on how to flash my Dopod 818Pro back to the original ROM? I've tried several cooked WM6 ROMs and I think I would want to revert back to the original Dopod 818Pro WM5 ROM. But, it can't be flashed back as it says the current ROM version is the latest. How arr?

I've tried, but it says, cannot upgrade from an updated .nbk version or something.

Is there any way of cheating the updater to read that my Dopod is currently using an older .nbk ROM?

Get a nbk editor tool and change the version number, not sure how its done in Hermes,

But for my Tornado, there is an nbf tool, where I can cheat the updater by specifying a high number,

or I can format the entire OS partition and flash the bin file in
