I know this question has been asked a couple of dozen times .Yes I did an extensive search in this forum before posting .Im gonna bring this up again since those threads are at least 1 year old .

How big and active is the XBL Online gaming community in Malaysia comparing to PlayStation network ? For and example is it easy to find Call of Duty MW3 players on XBox live Malaysia as PlayStation network ?

Thanks

MY XBL Online gaming community = handful of players. Easily countable 16-23 ppl? Most of them spreadout to different types of games.

COD players is roughly 6-10 ppl active in MY. However 14k ppl in the community anytime. I believe the largest group would be SG for SEA

Depends on your preference. I dont rely on Malaysian Gaming community, as there are plenty of players around the world.

From what i gathered, COD, Gears 3, Forza 4 are the most active Malaysian groups.

yes, you will be playing with anyone in the world. Lag is usually minimal - thanks to better programming and paid service.

no official XBL servers in MY. SEA hub is SG.
For selection of region, if you have a PSN account would do pick MY account or US account? Same reason why i create US account for Steam just to get some of the games at low price. -although steam his warning ppl not to do it-

Last time I bought CODMW3 just to test the online multiplayer and I was impressed. I even played with my friend from US without a problem.

Create 2. One each and decide yourself. US account have advantages IMHO. Slightly cheaper MS points, cool dashboard, more demos/games.

Used to be a lot more active players centered around Gamers Hideout in Cineleisure.
Seems to have died down a bit the scene.

Still, I find multiplaying on Live much more enjoyable than on PS3, probably because it is a paying service, and those who pay are more inclined to actively participate?

Added on September 9, 2012, 1:14 pmActually, there will be no lag if you're using UniFi because of its form being stable and all. The only lag moments in MW3 is..well,some jack is the host and decided to quit the game before finishing the game. I know. Been there a lot and I mean A LOT of times. So,yes it is quite small compare to PlayStation Network because it is an official thing in Malaysia.

Added on September 9, 2012, 1:16 pmOh and yeah, you can play with anyone especially people from USA, United Kingdom and even Korea. I don't know whether North Koreans play MW3...still scare..
