Hey sifus,

I'm planning to change my rims soon but would like to see what are my options for tyres.
I'm currently driving a Mazda 3 2.0 sedan(year 2010)
Currently running on original 215/45/17

Would like some suggestions on what size of tyres should I go for if I'm:
1) Maintaining my 17" stock rims
2) Change up to 18" sports rims

I would like to go as wide as physically possible w/out any major negative side effects.

Please advise

Mine original comes with 205/50/17. which pretty much an odd size tyre.

Currently through websites only Michilen PS 3 and Toyo Proxes C1s has it. Now asking whether they really bring in this tyre size.

This tyre size 205/50/17. Not much choice. There is a few tyre out there.
ToyoC1s,Toyo DRB, Ori OEM tyre Proxes R32 and PS3.

The most expensive would be PS3 among all. Follow by R32 and Toyo DRB. All are OEM size.

I do not wish to change to 215/45/17. To me lesser rubbish, comfort wise might need to sacrifies.

Good Year A2 and Yoko Aspec dB only comes with 215/45/17.

The ori size of our M3 from japan is 205/50/17.

Local assemble size is 215/45/17, which is even lower profile then the ori size which is more stable. coz wearing 215 rubber instead of 205. But more bumpier ride due to 45 series as compare to 50 series.

Added on November 24, 2012, 11:34 amGuys there is this tyre that fit our OEM size of 205/50/17 toyo TEO plus at d price of $390 per piece available at Hin Leong at Jln kapar Klang. I think value for $

How's the feedback for the TOYO TEO plus? Seems very value for money comparing to other brands reaching RM600 per piece..

I would say is quite a decent tire, toyo claim is silent tyre used in previously in my CT. Not bad with this kind of price I think u can't go wrong with tyre made in Japan
