QUOTE(zrill @ Sep 21 2012, 02:27 PM) Yup, need to wait for the budget. That's the limitation of single sub. The only thing u can do is find the best position for the sub until u get a second sub Im located in Shah Alam. Near Proton's Factory. Yeah, bro klimal's tri sub setup was already very impressive. I tried increasing the xover for the fronts to 80hz and it seems the mid bass is lacking. once it down to 40hz then it seems better. the pc12 goes very low. Maybe need another sealed sub to get the mid bass punch. Shah Alam is quite nearby a few of us who are staying in PJ and KL. Maybe one day u can invite us for a session to check out your system. The PC12NSD is great at the lower end of the bass scales but imho lacks the chest thumping mid bass slam.
Getting a similar second sub does not alleviate this problem. It gives a better texture and feel and seems to be coming from everywhere. It was solved by the addition of a near field sealed sub. Integrating this with the ported PC12NSD will present a challenge. It has different group delays and phase issues. Level matching is crucial. QUOTE(-oc-gassa @ Sep 27 2012, 10:08 AM) more so with a subwoofer to loosen up the moving parts, the suspension especially.while an electrical/electronic item wouldn't produce any measurable difference before and after running in, speaker drivers (sub drivers especially) produce so much difference that it's suggested to run them for at least 20 hours before taking any measurement. it's widely documented that the driver's thielle-small parameter change before and after running in. run the bass tones that i've posted before to accelerate the process. do watch out not to bottom the drivers. |

One challenge is trying to make the bass sound less lopsided as the pb13u will be either at the front left or right. |

I am pretty sure it will be awesome too Crossing the mains at 80 Hz minimizes the localization, plus the F12 is now directly behind the LP. It sure packs a wallop now |

My shipment did not have SB13-Ultra. It may be in subsequent shipment along with new affordable ported and sealed subs. You are keen? The retail price should be RM7,199.
Its upcoming new Ultra loudspeaker models are tempting. This time, easier on amp and more affordable This post has been edited by htkaki: Sep 30 2012, 10:18 AM |

7199?
hmm....then the PB12 Plus looks more value for money.. but the sb13ultra is much more manageable size wise.... |
