Some Tips UNCHARTED 4: A Thief's End™
Here is the gameplay to one of the most difficult and challenging combat in UC4, at least in my opinion. Some tips;
1. Get to know the surrounding. There is abundance of weapons ammo located on the map, but getting to them is not easy and you’ll be exposed to enemy gunfire at the same time. Things get more difficult since you cannot retreat back to safety, which make the only option of move forward to survive.
Be mindful that there will be a second wave coming once the first wave enemy reduced to one. The second wave is much more dangerous since they have 2 Heavy Armor with Gatling Gun and 2 Hunters. I strongly suggest to start your attack from the left side of the area.
2. Be mobile. There are a lot of place with strategic cover, but most of these cover is destructible. And the enemy knows that. This means that you need to move from time to time and cannot simply stay in one place.
3. Eliminate the enemy sniper located at the ship platform. This first enemy that I suggest you eliminate, since they have exceptional range and damage, on any position on the map. Toss 2 grenade to clear them up, then proceed to disposed remaining enemy one by one.
4. Don’t afraid to use grenades. Good to clear enemy behind cover and enemy with heavy armor. Also useful when behind cover. Most of the enemy will drop a grenade once you dispose them.
5. Conserve your ammo On crushing difficulty, the enemy absorb more bullets before death and weapon pickup provide fewer ammo compared to easier difficulties. Fire in short burst to control accuracy.
Ammo/weapons on the ground are highlight with grey-white shining light for easy spot.
6. Headshot is your best friend. Practice your headshot skills. It can help conserve ammo.
7. Be calm Don’t panic, try to grasp the behaviour and movement of the enemy. Their AI may be advanced but still they are still AI. Always remember that the enemy will always try to flank Nathan, thus watch your surrounding from time to time. Elina usually will warn Nathan if there are enemy shooting at him from Nathan blindside.
Diving under water provide short period of cover, but does not recover Nathan health.
8. Aware of the Hunter enemy (the one who subdue Nathan). There are two of them. The most annoying enemy in this game. Dispose them first.
Enemy with the Gatling Gun are deadly, but they move slow. Aim for their head.
9. Luck, and don’t give up. Elina sometimes saves you from the enemy, but rarely. I tried at least 30 times at this area. All the best to you.
