Demo already out in US psn store..

Anyone knows what's going on locally or regionally with the Nathan drake collection - in terms of promoting the release? Only one week away...
SG PS Store - not listed.
Sony KLCC - no pre-order available as of last Friday.
Sony Curve - One person pre-ordered as of this Monday.

good luck with official sony stores..
either they're slow, or no promotion at all.. they'd probably do one for UC4 release next year instead.

the hype usually comes from local gaming stores and such..

As always, americanos on neogaf will whine about everything.
One that I find very hilarious is that they say the enemies are bullet sponges and it forces people to do headshots. They are actually complaining about their own abilities to perform headshots! Read that again, yes Wtf?????



Headshots in UC1-UC3 were too damn easy. I'm glad enough that the mechanics has been moved to UC2 for all 3 games, but damn that's still a complaint?

Personally though, I do think Bluepoint has done a remarkable job in remastering all the games. But the move to bloom lighting instead of the old HDR method on UC1 did took some getting use to.
Using models ans textures from UC3 does look nice in some places, but it does look weird in others. Nate and Elena especially looks way older than they should, but Sully looks younger than I remember.

There are still quite a few bugs to stamp out. I don't know which build this demo is based on, but I did notice quite a few animations cut out especially during melee combat. There are also a lot of frametime variance in UC2, which is.. annoying actually. Hope all this is fixed by October 7.

Satisfied with the demo mostly.

Can anyone just give me a brief view on why this game series is great? Heard great things about this and all the hype. Thinking about getting Nathan Drake collection. It's 3 games in one, can kill time lol

i love 'em because of the storyline.. action adventure,
ala indiana jones.. the music scores are great, too..

i also like the gaming mechanics, a 3rd person shooter
with some arsenal to toy around with.. not elaborate,
but i think just enough for UC.

multiplayer for UC2 - yep, the best so far i think..
not so much on UC3, but i am still playing it till now..

why don't you try out the demo first to have a feel..
if you don't like it, then you don't like it.

i've always preferred chloe's looks from UC2 instead of UC3..
i think they use the UC3 model instead, right? aw shucks..

Agreed. I'm kinda bumped out that they use UC3 Chloe. I also like Elena UC1 model most, in UC3 she looks... a little on the chubby side.

i've dloaded the demo and tried running it shortly just now during lunch..
the game gave me goosebumps even with the startup sound..
(then again, i am a sucker for anything uncharted)
