from ur avatar, u look young. Guess that will be enuff said. Get the K5 !! hahaha

Teana got the best comfort in the d segment in same price range ~140k, and it also comes with the most sluggish engine among the 2.0, and also with cvt tranny, which will cost a bomb when kaboom. Design wise, more unclish, 2nd hand value, can say also the worst in jap big 3. But it is not the worst, as the sales is kinda a success for tanchong nissan. It is a good alternative, but i guess the first sentence said it all, get the K5 !!

The design alone will make u awe. And the specs and features further make the selection easier for me.

Dude, seem like you really know how to translate from brochure leh, I found the K5 is not as responsive as the Teana since both is 2.0, even the K5 has higher torque and hp, I think this is due to the gearbox, and I think the CVT GB price isn't too far away from your K5 6-speeder gearbox leh. Design wise, I think this Teana is better looking (no harsh feeling, just purely my own opinion) Attached Image Attached Image Attached Image Attached Image .

i know it is ur opinion, but i think u r wrong lar. If u say responsiveness then read this. K5 acceleration to 100km/hr is 10.9s while teana 12.1s, and this is a fact. 2nd, teana has CVT tranny, hence u will feel the rubber-band effect in the car, not the actual "car pick up".

K5 engine has higher hp and torque not due to gearbox. Gearbox job is to transfer the power to the wheel. If u say engine has higher torque but the car has no responsiveness, then maybe due to gearbox. CVT engine is known for its major repair when damaged, and also, cvt has a whirling sound due to the belt when at high speed. Best example is the honda city cvt gb.

Design wise is also subjective, but K5 won few design award(red dot being the famous wan), and has a world class designer behind it. The photo u posted are modified with skirting teana. Not from standard brochure.

That car can move in Msia roads? I'm pretty sure you cant even pass a single speed bump, not to mention basement carparks tongue.gif

Also, although I agree the K5 looks nice, the performance for a 140k car is pretty much a dissapointment, IMHO (and being my opinion it cannot be "wrong") smile.gif

well, depends on how u put it lar...if u compare within NA engines like in camry 2.0, accord 2.0, teana 2.0, i wud say NO disappointment, but if u compare with 1.6 turbo/supercharged, then of course the torque is no where near.

if u disagree, suggest one d-segment car with 2.0 NA engine can that really outperform K5/camry/accord by far

Bro... did I mention d-seghment 2.0NA car?

My comment was... for a "140k car"....

Additionally.. u have already narrowed the selection to D-segment car with 2.0NA engine.... how to outperform those car "by far" since essentially they have the same engine size and body size doh.gif

then ur point is? with 140k i cud have gotten jetta, golf, 308Turbo, 408Turbo, 508, passat?
compare apple with apple lor bro tongue.gif

ur comment then very wide perspective/broad ranged, more like no point oso doh.gif
u cud have said the same in ct200h hybrid thread, "disappointed with the performance on a 190+k car" or any camry/teana/accord thread.

when u said "disappointed with a 140k car", alot of ppl might have tot K5 is under performing

Make clear ur view in the future

cheers
