Hey guys!

I have been playing LEGO since young but stopped playing for years.
Last time i usually get them from Jusco or ToysRUs.

But now it seems the prices are quite steep.

Where do you guys get your LEGOs?

Any local online store that is reasonable and trust worthy?

I'm planning to restart my LEGO collection again smile.gif

Hey guys,

I'm torn between 2 sets... 4438 Robber's hideout & 4441 Police dog van.

I like the play set in 4438 but i dont like the design of the vehicle.

I like the vehicle in 4441 but there is no set to play with except for the "mine"

Any suggestions?

Well that's one of the perks of working next to a mall, heh. I went to Toys R Us, since I had some vouchers to use from Star Card smile.gif

Am thinking of getting the Zombie set next, heh.

lol....is it cheaper and can get complete set if buy each tiny pcs by pcs? blink.gif
*
Nope, it is more expensive to buy pcs by pcs if you wanna complete a set that is sold by LEGO.

Normally we buy pcs by pcs for MOC (My Own Creations)

e.g you MOC a building, a car, a set.... etc

Has anybody noticed this, but some Lego products (especially the collectible Minifigures series) are not on par with Lego's manufacturing quality in general. For example, I recently bought some brand new unopened Series 5 Minifigures and Team GB Minifigures and some of them are really bad, like, part of the upper torso was pressed in until the lower torso couldn't be fitted in, the "neck" was mis-shaped which made it difficult to pop the head on, while another 2 minifigures' heads had mis-shaped studs on the head - it looks like it got melted or squashed with a hammer!

Hmmm so far all my legos are pretty good, except the monster fighter mummy chariot set.

The mummy and the skeleton horse were supposed to be glow in the dark.

The skeleton horse did a fantastic job while the mummy has zero glow in the dark effects.

I took a closer look on the torso and realize that its just a normal white piece instead of a glow in the dark piece.

I was advised to contact LEGO.com for an exchange... but i thought what the heck... kinda lazy.

By the way, do they really even respond to us with an exchange? Usually how long for sending back and forth?

By the way, anyone has any experiences with Mega Bloks?
Feedbacks or bad or good experiences.

Their Police Station with Jail looks really good.

Hows the price like compared to LEGO? Should be cheaper right?

Yes... its literally only meant for the mad ones... or those with a mad bank account.

Will it cost around the price of the Death Star Set?

I think it will be more expensive than the current modular sets like Pet Shop.

Knowing ALJ will jack up the price kau kau...

definitely wont be death star pricing. Death Star has twice the parts as the Asylum.

Maybe we can guess its price in RM... I would say [calculating and estimating.. please wait]........ RM699.90 or RM749.90

sweat.gif No need to pay car loan for one month to buy this set... lol

Nevermind, there are still other batman and super heroes set coming out.

I'm very anticipated to see how Superman's Metropolis show down is going to be...

Added on October 7, 2012, 12:45 amI just finish building my World Racers 8898 Wreckage Road
Which i have just received yesterday.

Putting on all those stickers gave me a headache!

Anyone feels the same about stickers? sad.gif

Prefer printed pieces... but i can understand that the production cost is going to be very high for individual printed pieces for different sets...
