Now, I'm quite a seafaring pirate myself.... but I jump at this opportunity to buy an original game. After all, there's a reason why I don't buy originals that often.... the games are too expensive.

But I feel that Guild Wars will be well worth the money. I searched for New Era... they don't seem to have a website. So I post here asking, does anybody know if New Era distributes Guild Wars? Please? Anyone? Shelling out RM200 isn't a piece of cake.... can buy a Radeon X1300 with that.

gamers.com.my are the ones that sell this game... I think you can get the UK version for RM 180.

Anyway, the reason its so expensive, unlike other original games is that its (international )multiplayer only. Therefore, they can't subsidize the price or else ppl will just start exporting this to other countries and earn a profit.

IMHO, if you have problems shelling out RM200 for mmogs, then mmogs aren't for you. Especially those that come with monthly subscriptions. Also... what on earth is a gamer going to do with a Radeon X1300? Play solitaire with it eh?

RM180 for a mmog isn't expensive if you compare it with other mmog like World of Warcraft, Lineage2, City of Heroes, Everquest2, etc which cost about there and comes with monthly subscription. In fact some of the other mmogs charge for expansion packs (I know Lineage2 doesn't charge for it's expansion packs).

That's just the UK version... The US version is the same price as other MMOs IIRC.

aiyo, tot got GW at RM 80..anywhere, i went to software boutique..they sell GW for RM 189..but i think the price is worth it lar..with the game of that quality..all u need to do is dig out ur ang pow money..or jimat a little bit then u got it lor..RM 188 sounds scary but when u get it, u know that ur money is well spent..(this applied to me lar)..

Well if you think it's worth it, buy it! I plonked down RM220 for my Civ IV collector's edition...and it was worth every cent.

a bit disappointed when reading the thread here. thuoght can get GW by rm 80.
