Hi, I had a chance to try the Beats Mixr last Friday, I like it. I mainly listen to electronic dance music, EDM and occasionally some jazz and a little bit of RnB.
I liked how i can feel the bass. It's punchy, strong and makes my music come to life.
As all of you may have figured out, I don't really care that much for the trebles or soundstage of the headphone.

My question is, what other headphones would you recommend besides these Mixr's based on the preference I have given above (BASS). I don't want some clarity shit with no bass feel, just a pair of cans that would blow/rattle my heart out when I put them on --> BOOM BOOM BOOM.

Please don't recommend me the Sony XB1000. I don't have elephant ears.

Budget is 1k.

BASS --> Closed type --> Quite portable --> Clarity/soundstage/yadayadayada aka not important.
Appreciate all the help. Thank you!

For crazy bass I think you can try the XX series JVC headphone. Coz I have tried the XX series IEM and they rattled my heart to extend that I don't want to wear it anymore. Scare my heart cant take it.

Anyway its within the budget line, I mean not premium. Among available model are HA-S4X & HA-M5X

Thanks.  While I do love bass, I am not a basshead.  Just want the bass as it is.
*
Well speaking from experience I think the bass is not overwhelming, just as it supposed to sound. But again sound preference is subjective tongue.gif Anyway for less bass but clear everything else why not get GR99. But not available in Msia. hmm.gif

Hi while your friend is going to Jaben HK in Mongkok he should also check out many audio stores in Sim City few blocks away. Do check out DMA Audio they have good discount for certain products.

Hello sifus, need your help once more.
- My Rig: Samsung Galaxy W with Poweramp as music player
- Type of usage: Music & sometimes video
- File format: MP3, FLAC, flv, avi~~
- Music genre: Variety of musical genres ranging from electronica, industrial and rap to ethnic, acoustic, orchestral and folk styles (basically anime & game soundtracks)
- Budget: Around RM100-150 is preferable, but if any game changing specs for a lil' +, is welcomed too.
- Earphone: Looking for IEM with good clarity i suppose. Help me choose based on my variable music choice
- Other requirements (if any): Cables do not "die" if i wear them to sleep if possible,  laugh.gif . If possible, comfort too  nod.gif

Thanks for your time  notworthy.gif

Oh, so these are the best in my prce range. The reviews are not bad too =)

How about the Beyerdynamic XP series?
*
Actually it depends on your preferred sound signature. I believe this one is balance with emphasis on bass but not too heavy bass.

Another phone that u may want to consider are Vsonic GR02 bass edition or Vsonic GR99 (not for bass)

Thanks for your feedback. I dont really know which side I lean on to more. I listen to many song genre so I cant actually picture a clear cut in my "type". So I thought Beyerdynamic XP 2 is nice, but overall, i would like better clarity in my songs~ Sometimes when listening to songs compounded with many overlays, low clarity kinda kills it sweat.gif
*
I heard that XP2 quite bassy as compared XP3. Anyway for XP series u have to top up a bit. Maybe u can audtion them at Jaben.

Hey guys , i currently use a FISCHER AUDIO Eterna Rev.1 IEM and  Audio Technica ATH700ProMKii

reason for changing it decided to disassemble itself, due to the glue used in manufacturing that was horrible it's now in a weird form sleep.gif

i want something with decent clarity when it comes to instrumental music and yet gives a solid and tight bass punch

- MacBookPro / iPhone / Pioneer DJ Mixer
- Listening music / movies / DJ-ing ( when i feel lazy to use my Audio Technica ATH700ProMKii )
- everything
- EDM ( electronic dance music )
- IEM

Price range 200-300

a review for the IEMs recommended would be appreciated too biggrin.gif

Thanks in advance

Hi, i'm new here.
Any recomendation for headphone for listening to classical music  under Rm200.
I recently bought a Superlux Hd668b and found that the sound is unreal for acoustic instrument , piano is too bright, woodwind no richness ,strings too thin.It also cause fatigue.  rclxub.gif
Hope someone can suggest a right headphone for me.

Thanks  smile.gif
