- My Rig: Galaxy Mini
- Type of usage: Music
- File format: mp3
- Music genre: all, but mostly pop
- Budget: Less than rm250
- Headphone/ earphone type: IEM
- Other requirements (if any): Strong but not muddy bass and good clarity.

(thinking of Beyerdynamic's XP3 or A-jays One ) smile.gif recommend me !
*
I find that Final Audio Design Adagio II can be a great option.
Personally will recommend Beyer XP more then A-Jay, as the sounding is better then them, while A-Jay charge different price in different model.

Your rig - laptop
What type of usage - occasional gaming, music
Genre of music you listen to - mainly female vocals, some classical music (piano violin etc)
Headphone/ earphone type - headphone, doesn't really care about portability
Other requirements - works well with the genre listed, comfortability is a big plus, bass isn't important

Budget can be flexible, was targeting hd 598 but trying my chance here to see if there's any cheaper
alternatives

Try the beyerdynamic DT770pro.

hey guys, kinda need help here  tongue.gif
tried HD558, 598, DR150 + vero, and dt770 pro 250 based on previous recommendation.
based on above list i seem to prefer 598 the most with dr150 being a very close second, but can't really make up my mind just yet.
was browsing around and both k550 and esw9 caught my interest but had yet to have a chance to test them out,
so i'm really curious as to how well perceived they are here? should i just go with 598 or something else?

thanks in adv.  laugh.gif

If you felt DR150 + Vero150 come close to HD598 sound, my best bet will be DR150 + Vero150 + hippo cricri+ amplifier, the possibility of surpass HD598 with cheaper price is very high in my opinion.

It kinda reminds me of last time when the erm Superlux or smth sounds like that ( IEM from Taiwan) first came out. A lot of people are saying it can beat the TF10, Ck100 and bla bla bla. When I go and give them a try, not even CLOSE man  doh.gif Not to mention that the built quality is very bad.
*
It is not as good as Shure SE535, or even Westone series. The reason why we recommend this product, is mainly due to several reasons.

1)Beyerdynamic special tuned for our market, and be frank the brand prove quality, German and 88 years, they are not some china OEMish product.
2) 3 different type of sound in same price, make the recommendation and selection easier for entry range.
3) Tangle Free cable? yeap they are great
4) No they are not better then any high ends IEM at the moment, however we believe it will sound better/equal with earphone around RM300 - RM450 range.
5) Yea they are cheap =).

Shure 535 good choice or Ultimate 10? Budget 2k below.  If headphone which one should i get?

For vocal vice, my best recommendation will be Shure SE535, Westone 4 and Final Audio Heaven S

Hey, HD558 vs HD598 vs DT990, which of these will be more suitable for me if I'm using mostly for RTS gaming, pop and ballad songs?
*
in the range of these 3 products you comparing, DT990 should be level against HD650 from Sennheiser, so we are comparing against brand mostly.

If Sennheiser VS Beyerdynamic for music and game, Sennheiser headphone mostly caters toward on jazzy and vocal due to its laid back and dark signature such as HD650 and HD598, in term of staging accuracy, both Sennheiser and Beyerdynamic performed almost the same.

Beyerdynamic presented more brighter and thinner sound, with a direction of all-rounder presentation with the usage.

However, do expect Sennheiser requires good amp to maximize the performance, while Beyerdynamic is more on easy going depend on which model.

My rig: my Android phone (with Dolby Mobile and SRS enhancement)
What type of usage: mostly music
File format used in your source: mostly mp3, but sometimes flac
Genre of music you listen to: pop, classical
Headphone/earphone type: IEM
Other requirements: Nice clarity, with a bit of bass if possible
Budget: RM400 or less

I normally love listening with a lot of bass, but this time I'm trying to go for an IEM that has a nice mixture of both clarity and bass.

One option I am considering is the UE600. I didn't have much time to research and try out different IEMs,

Any recommendations? Thank you in advance!  smile.gif

Go for Phonak PFE012, my top recommendation!!

Hmm, AKG K550 is closed headphone right? I prefer open headphone since I need comfort for long term usage.
Ah, I forgot to mention I'm actually comparing the cheaper version of DT990 which is DT990 Pro 250 Ohm version.
*
Not really, actually pro and non pro is the same in sound, just pro has slight different design, headband and cable. Pricing wise depend on region. As pointed out, the compare rank for 990 actually will be hd600 and hd650

Not sure if this is the right place to ask or not but here goes.

Is Sennheiser PC360/350 worth it?

Looking for something with a mic but with the same or on par audio quality. So far Ive tested loads of "gaming" headsets, but none came close to my M50. So i was wondering whether the PC360/350 from Sennheiser is worth it.

What do you guys think? Help me out here with suggestions or so.
*
Nope, it still wont come close to ur m50 in term of sound quality. Prof gaming headphone usually will sound bad in music, as they must be flat on bass and treble, thinner sound to get the best detail and least distraction from bass or trble during game play.

I see. Cuz im actually looking for something better or like an upgrade for my M50 or so. In some review online it was mentioned that the PC350 has the same specs as HD595, correct me if im wrong here. I play games and listen to assorted genre music most of the time and I`d prefer good audio rather than crappy Razer headset which are not even worth the price but cant seems to find any headset to be on par with my M50.  cry.gif

Anything you would suggest, lets say a headphone perhaps. Budget around rm500-1000.
*
You could try out Beyerdynamic DT770pro and DT880pro thou, not really sure whether is an "upgrade" to you, but it does has some elements that M50 doesnt have, such as open, wider sound stage, more dynamic and smoother top, balance/neutral presentation.

Oh ok, will DT990 Pro be selective when pairing with DAC/Amp? Cause I'm planning to use the DAC with both my speaker and headphone.
*
Not really, Beyerdynamic are quite amp friendly compare with Sennheiser in overall presentation.

Hey guys!
hmm so i guess i would step out from sennheisers. as the 650/600 are too big for me, so the comfortability ruined it, so its pointless...

hmm but im not sure my heart is telling me to go get the M50. but i've read more and more reviews/appreaciation thread about the M50 and it seems like that it has more bad reviews about comfortability ... so arghh!!!.. and now im currently want to get  either Beyer 770/880 or the M50.

ok so my friend is going to hongkong anytime soon! so i need a good decision and a quick one too!
so the prices are:
M50 =165$
Beyer Dt 880= 309$
beyer Dt 880 pro= 335$
beyer dt 770 pro = 238$
beyer dt 770 pro 88th anivessary edition L/E http://jaben.com.hk/ProductView.asp?ID=759&SortID=207
= 270$
Hifiman HE-300= 335$
Ultrasone HIFI 2400= 316$

so preety much these are the price i can get.. cheapest.. new ones ( i do not like owning 2nd hand items)
so in your opinion which 1 would be the bang of the buck ? and would also suit me the best!( if u forgotten my music genre check the above post/previous)

the dt 770 pros and 880 dt i only can get it (32Ω,250Ω,600Ω) and the limited edition's 770 pro i can get only 32Ω.

I personally felt that the design of the dt 770/880 are abit ugly ( no offence man, i prefer the M50 design the most) but if they are worth it( based on the price i stated) i would probably grab it over the M50/hifiman/ultrasone.

As i've said, i do want 50%bass and also 50%clarity. and also would like to feel 'natural' towards the sound.. i hope to feel like that the music is coming towards me 360degree, as if im in a concert but only me at the concert (LOL!). I would not want to feel that i've been reminded that i have my headphones on ( so its like a typical 2 sound coming from ur left earpads and also right earpads).. so yea... ( and i cant get Fiio in hongkong.. or is there any shops i can get it from? cant seem to find it in Jaben)

Thank you very much! im very sorry if i did bothered any of u . :-) have a great day.
*
Bro, why not try Beyerdynamic Custom one Pro? personally i feel it is better then M50, leaning towards dt770pro signature and better overall design, it is retail in USD199.

Hi, i'm new here.
Any recomendation for headphone for listening to classical music  under Rm200.
I recently bought a Superlux Hd668b and found that the sound is unreal for acoustic instrument , piano is too bright, woodwind no richness ,strings too thin.It also cause fatigue.  rclxub.gif
Hope someone can suggest a right headphone for me.

Thanks  smile.gif

My recommendation will be Beyerdynamic DT231pro, rich mid and low frequency and warm sounding, not too bright and pretty neutral presentation.
