What type of headphone is the most comfortable for long hours usage? Is there any headphone that provide comfort up to the level that you can't really feel its presence?

My HD 595 can do biggrin.gif

KSC 75 also not bad.

Yup...you are right indeed...
Iem do have great noiae isolation....but like some iem like se535 ....they have a noise cancellation whuch is build in ....but the effect doea not protude out most of the time...

Headphone have noise cancellation like bose headphones....
Noise isolatuon is something quite impossible to be done in headphones but I. prefer headphones to iems most of the time....
*
Closed back will have noise isolation.

Is it recommended to get headphone that costs >RM500 with laptop as source? What price onwards for headphone is recommended to get a DAC?
*
Depend on your laptop sound card, if is decent enough then no need external DAC.

less likely, the mobo power will cause distortion and many types of undesirable effects on the sound quality, an external dac can clean up the signals better
*
Agree, but for casual listening and budget this can be compromised, lol.

sorry i forgot to include in the requirements that the remote should be able to function together with the iphone. Eg: changing songs and volume from the button.
*
Oh then too bad.

Try some Sennheiser mm50i or mm70i then.

Your rig - laptop, fiio e11 (might be getting an usb DAC in future)
What type of usage - Music, occasional gaming
File format - FLAC, APE, CD and 320kbps mp3
Genre of music you listen to - mainly female vocals, some classical music (piano violin etc), jpop
Headphone/ earphone type - headphone, doesn't really care about portability
Budget - 1k, may stretch a little if its worthy
Other requirements - works well with the genre listed, comfortability is a big plus, bass isn't really important

hey guys, kinda need help here  tongue.gif
tried HD558, 598, DR150 + vero, and dt770 pro 250 based on previous recommendation.
based on above list i seem to prefer 598 the most with dr150 being a very close second, but can't really make up my mind just yet.
was browsing around and both k550 and esw9 caught my interest but had yet to have a chance to test them out,
so i'm really curious as to how well perceived they are here? should i just go with 598 or something else?

thanks in adv.  laugh.gif

If HD 598 you will need a decent DAC and amp, if not it will turn out like crap.

Tried direct output from laptop, tablet, iPod Touch with my HD 595 without DAC and amp, it sucks. shakehead.gif

why?

and how about beyer compared with sony xba-1? balance armature seems interesting..
*
XBA-1 will have less bass but more detail, all depend on your taste.

But with a lot of good review and proven records, Beyer is the best and safe choice.
