Hi there Audiophiles,

I'm looking for a small and portable earphone
- Type of usage: Music only
- File format: iphone, foobar2k (mp3/flac) for computer
- Music genre: not really sure on music genre, but mostly listen to brit rock, acoustic, indies, some grind/metal core and Chinese song
eg: band like Oasis, Radiohead, muse, snow patrol, travis,  a7x, beatles, who. old chinese song like 张雨生,齐秦  and some modern c-pop song.
Dislike hip-hop, r&b, techno k-pop basically all these song playing on radio.
My fren had a 1k+++ monster beats, tried that and the bass totally overwhelm the music like a disasaster    doh.gif

- Budget: RM100-200
- Headphone/ earphone type: IEM
- Other requirements (if any):
*comfortable,
*mic to receive calls,
*and most importantly the sound for my choices of music  smile.gif
Much thanks  notworthy.gif

Now is my turn .over here....

Wanna get an upgrade for my superlux hd669.....because of the staging...

I often.listen to classical....instrumental....pop...jazz....some techno( only sometimes )

I would like my headphone to have noise isolation...good sq...tight and juicy bass ( not a basshead )...compact sound..live concert staging....focus on detail and vocal and comfort ( long listening usage ).....

Budget os around rm 450 - 500 +-

Thinking of ms1I .... drvero....dt440....or is there any more recommandation.???

Out of 3 blogs....
I spotted that m35 is one of the best for that range of budget....but I'm not quite sure about that.....try sennheiser brands or bose....I think they will provide a better headphone for you needs

If you are intersted ......
You can try earbuds like PAA - 1 ....thet are good at the bass but the clarity is not that attractive though.....

For overheads...superlux have these kind of cans.....you can looks for reviews about their ptoduct.....

Sennheiser....bose......do you try on their cans of these products....or even goldring .... they are quite good but not sure if they are suitable for your kind

Genre of music you listen to - Pop, rock, classical
Headphone/ earphone type - Closed headphone, mobile
Budget - Below RM350

I have my old Sennheiser HD202 and I like it but the wire is too long to carry it anywhere.
*
Beyerdynamic 231 ( if not.mistaken )
Superlux hd668b
Goldring dr100 (not sure about the price but certainly around there )

To have a better option......you can choose open back cans like grado and alessandro....very suitable for your genres....

What type of usage - Music
File format used in your source - MP3
Genre of music you listen to - Pop, New Age, anything that's not heavy on bass
Headphone/ earphone type - iem
Budget - Below RM150

Whatever your recommendation is, can u pls tell me if it's wayyy inferior to beyerdynamic xp3? I know xp3 gonna cost me rm200 and doesn't come with mic, just want to know if it's worth forking out the extra rm50.

Thanks ;-)

Xp3 is a great hit for that price....well....its unbeatable....
That price will give u a big surprise once you had tried the iem....
