sorry to hear about your case....
i'm a victim of such case as well...let me share my story

back in May 2011, i was driving my Camry on federal highway at 8.30 pm passing Amcorp mall exit towards KL route....
suddenly a white Myvi rammed me from the rear.....same ammo like urs

the moment I stopped by the emergency lane....i got down...d most stupidest thing I have done

the moment i got down....4 of them came...Indians as well...sorry i'm not being racist...its just that so happen they r indians....

had a major scuffle n fought like hell....at the end kena pin down by 2 of them

best part was....federal highway was semi jam...no one stopped to help
they grabbed my phone....they didnt hv time to grab other things like my wallet and watch n so on....
i can't blame other motorist coz who would hv dared to come down....

so anyway...they drove of with my car....i was bleeding all over...
my nose almost broke...bleeding non-stop...
my mouth was bleeding
i had a deep cut on my hand as i was push onto the road landed on my left hand....

so aft that, i ran to Amcorp mall seeking help....none of them even offered to lend me their phone for emergency call
so i popped by a mobile phone shop....asked them for a emergency phone call....fark...was denied...probably seeing me bleeding scared them
so i offered to buy d cheapest phone with a prepaid card....guess wat...they didn't want to sell and ask me to go away

so i made my way to d grd flr toilet to wash up....on d way to d toilet...
d indian shop selling magazines n stuffs offered to help me....
i used his phone, called my brother who happened to b nearby....

so i offered to pay d shop guy for his good will but he didn't want my money....thank god for a good samaritan finally....

d best part was....none of d security guards helped me even though i asked them for help...so much for security ppl...

so aft calling my bro....went to d toilet to wash up...
came out to d front entrance...i was d centre of attraction bcoz i had so much blood on my shirt n my nose still bleeding....

then so happen some cops was walking pass n asked me wat happened..
so told them my case....instantly they radioed back and message was sent out looking for my car immediately....

then a police car came....they offered to bring me to PJ state police station....one of them even offered his personal phone for me to call my brother.....so i informed him to meet me at d station....so b4 i went up d police car...they offered some cottons for my hand wound as it was still bleeding...

arrived at d station...immediately i was given priority....didn't need to type d report on my own...d sarjan straight away came down...took my report....another helpful police woman offered first aid....
report was done swiftly and they immediately rolled out message across to look out for my car n d suspects...

my brother arrived by the way......then they gave me a police report copy, a medical form....then straight I went to University Hospital...
again I was given priority.....
doctors there reacted fast....treated me almost instantly....received 10 stitches on my hand....treated my nose....
then at d same time a trauma officer came just to make sure I was ok..

subsequently.....i was given tetanus shot...i think....
actually i was still shaky....trust me.....u will be scared aft that...

so d next day....went to my insurance comp...made my claims....

got my claims within 3 months....aft alot of chasing n follow ups....

2 mths aft my incident....i was called by d sarjan and 1 ASP who was investigating my case....was asked to identify d suspects....

i straight away identified 2 of them....

4 mths later...i was at a court proceeding as a victim testifying against them...
no....i didnt hv witness protection as I was not seen by any of them until d court day....when u r asked to identify them....it is like d movies when u go into a room with a 1 way view glass panel....minus d luxuries...

finally i received a call fr the ASP saying that d court found them guilty n was jailed n whipped for causing injuries....

apparently i was not d only victim under d same group....there were at least another 12 victims similar to my case

i was extremely happy that d police did their best....there maybe some bad lights about them....but they proofed me otherwise....

my car wasn't found....insurance paid out almost in full coz my car was only 6 mths old

i sent an appreciation letter to d police for their help....

in all honesty, i was really traumatized by d incident...took me awhile to overcome it....i do sometimes remember those moments n i really thank god i was not hurt in any other ways....it still haunts me...

so to TS.......i share ur trauma n bad experience...i hope u get over it soon....it is not d physical scar but rather d mental scar that u hv to live with....

to d indian community....i'm sorry if i hv offended u....it is just so happen that those who did this to me were indians....
i hv met many wonderful indians n hv nice indian frens....
i believe crime is not about race....its about ppl's ability to commit crime..

to those ladies n gentleman driving hot cars....pls pls be extra careful...
crime happens anywhere, everywhere & anytime....
i couldn't preach more than asking all of you to be extra careful

do not get down from the car if u r not sure...then again u can't b sure
copy down their number plate, car make n model, colour....
i would happily pay saman n even fix my car damage rather than be sorry for such case...

by d way....those buggers who did this to me...d funny thing was...
they dont know how to start a push start car....hahahahahahaha
they actually asked me how to start d car....but of coz i gotta tell them coz scared they were gonna kill me...

also...b4 i forget.....don't b a hero....
think of ur love ones.....i'm a family man with 2 kids......
losing d money is worth it compared to losing ur life.....
there's insurance for ur car n u can make finanical arrangements for d money u hv lost....

there is no price tag to a human life....value it...

It may be easy to comment about some of this....
but until d day it happens.....u can only pray for safety n prepare for it..

like i said....d physical scar goes away....d mental scar is going to be there forever.....
