Greetings K,

My car was been hijacked just now at 9:30pm (6th August 2012). Black Mitsubishi Triton VGT WWR3480. It happened right infront of Maktab PDRM Cheras highway (Before Plaza Phoenix), opposite PGA Camp.

I was on the way to KL. Suddenly I was hit from the back by White Nissan Sentra WHY9166. I stopped at road side. First I looked around and it's still early and busy traffic all along the highway. But once I unlock the car suddenly there is another car stopped infront of me (couldnt remember the car) and came out 2 Indian guy pulled me out while one of them push me off on the road, the two other from Nissan Sentra (Indian too) came out from the car to pull me off. Then one drove my car away and the other three went into the Nissan Sentra.

Phone and wallet were still in the car too.

Thankfully they didnt hurt or in use of any weapons against me. The highway was busy, so appreciate if any witness of the incident at that particular time can provide me and info regarding the carjackers. It was my fault for stopping but I didnt expect it happened on a very busy scene. And please have a lookout but I highly doubt It'd be found.

Please be extra careful everyone, criminals are getting desperate and everywhere is unsafe nowadays.

1. Black sport bar instead of usual chrome (at the back)
2. Black utility box.
3. Chrome door handle cover.

Hit my rear left bumper till I swerved my way. Not to the extend of ramming.

My fault for stopping but the thing that caught me offguard was it happened in busy street.

Anyway crime does take place anywhere you wouldnt expect to, so be very careful.

Right after I was left, I ran to my nearby friend's house, thankfully it was 2km away and he brought me to police station for reports and stuff.

heard this case before. from this site or fb, they shared , the husband didnt get out from the car. sorry bro for your loss

I think we need to change the procedures for accidents.
When occurred:
First thing stop car straight call polis
Second then look around to find the other vehicles number
Thirdly if car still can drive then straight go polis station with the car plate number

when leaving your car, off engine and keep the key and all valuables with u.

if see anything amiss, throw stuffs away, strip pants, squat on knees and give jobs to thieves.

this would normally cost around rm80-110 depending on where you buy.
once u fold it in not noticable especially if u wear black belt. be cause of the curve in the handle you don't realy feel the edges so much

I think maybe will be more comfortable if u hang one of those "phone" case on ur belt and put the knife inside instead of phone. The phone case is going out of trend now anyways...
I'm gonna try my luck to find a knife like that at pasar next time.

i think it's in nature to stop your car after getting hit to assess damage and stuff, but that's really unlucky for you to happen such thing.

4wd quite in demand...this hit then hijack method used very often especially in east malaysia..but then happen at busy place like cheras highway quite shocking tbh

Sooner or later they will come for poorfags cars as well.

I think they recognize your car by the number plate registration rather than your car outlooks exterior.

By seeing, the car plate number, they can easily identify which year you first registered the car.

It's done by a group of indian syndicate....they are high on list for most robberies and hijacks in Cheras Area.

lesson to learn. never never pull your wallet and phone out and put in your car. Keep it in your pants forever.

they do the crimes not because of polis didnt ronda.. but they do it because they know, the victims never take any preventive measurements if such thing happen to themselves.

like for an instance, install car mobilizer, keep staying in the car until an authority approaches the area of accident if there are suspicious activities around you.

same to Petrol station before. During night, lots of robbery to Petrol Station and 7Eleven. Even if they ask police to ronda for each hour intervals, it still happen. So the solution is, either closed the entrance, and dont keep a lot of cash in the stash.

Maybe previously, we Malaysian thinks that everywhere we go, we have a protective shields that blanket us from such crime. But guess what, we are not invincible. Prevent is better than cure.

Guys take it as a pre-caution.

- Lock your car when you got in.
- Keep a knife or pocket knife in your car. Pull out your knife when they attack(so they can see that you have a weapon, when you're inside the car, locked).
Or
- Better, a pepper spray. Wind down your window a lil, spray out.
- Start your engine and RAM THEM out of your way!
- honk like a crazy man

The car they used also i think it stolen with fake number one.

My colleague experience exactly the same...got car jacked after been hit from the back.only got phone in his trouser and wallet gone case.

Guys if u experience the same...take the key out, keep ur wallet and phone with u before out to deal
