Regardless of the timing, the lights are there for a purpose. In western European countries, nobody beats the lights. Even in remote regions like Andenes, northern Norway (above the artic circle), they respect the lights and pedestrians. I do not agree fully... In general Laws are made by people and society, the law may not be correct. Just an accepted norm.Some law say person should be stoned to death, burned to death or crushed to death.... Is it accepted now in today world the law say this is wrong.
So what is the law. It just something someone propose and the group accept.
Personally, I think in the middle of the night, with no cars for miles around with you the only person, why wait for the lights. That's stupidity to me.
