QUOTE(jimmy.soo @ Oct 19 2012, 03:46 PM) From putrajaya.. just pass the Equine Park / Putra Permai interchange...it is a straight road towards toll (Puchong). I got to know from my friend yesterday.. many drive or ride fast there. i think it is 90kph. But better lookout the speed limit again. On the other side, where Petronas/McD, there is a tall camera also installed and many many area in puchong. I noticed the new cameras installed in puchong at this few areas: 1. Bkt Puchong 2 - Along Jalan Bkt Puchong 2. Putra Perdana / Nusa Putra - ar 2 traffic lights along main road. 3. Puchong Utama - Carrefour. That area just become 1 way streets. Got cameras newly installed. |

QUOTE(1282009 @ Oct 20 2012, 05:55 PM) Haha... I pass by jugak... can't see any of it.. but there is a signage...Problem is my friend kena flashed, really donno where they hide it. Also...many saying that 3rd lane kena drive 70kph on a 90kph speed limit ?!?! correct me if I'm wrong. 1. no wonder all new kopi license will force themselves to the fast lane when exiting from. 2. 70kph.. danger been langar by lorry or bus !! 3. driving fast is not dangerous. Driving too fast is. Also many drivers drive fast and when during cornering, they just brake and drive very slow and hogging. 4. many drive with high beams...who teach them one?? 5. new car, but signal rosak. never put signal one.. how they passed? Really donno nowadays, how the lesen is approved?? the rear view mirror is for lipsticks application one lor.. tidying up your hair also.. there is paper test but what are the questions in the test? |

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Oct 23 2012, 02:37 PM) True. In fact by braking for no reason will make it even more dangerous. You need to purposely slow down quite a bit below the speed limit and let off the gas several hundred meters before the speed trap zone if you want to still be within the speed limit when you reach it. Follow speed limit is tough for some. Many actually.Added on October 23, 2012, 2:39 pm Totally agree! Driving slower also does not mean safer! We can't control much whether they going to install 10 million AES thru-out malaysia.. use our taxpayer money or not... want to earn more from drivers or not. etc etc.. but one thing we can do at least is since we dont want to pay them summons, we just follow lor, then they can't earn from us lor. I tried 2 weeks ago, driving to north following the speed limits. Seems okay though. I set my mind that I enjoy the drive, stop at certain areas for smokes / drinks. It is not easy as it seems like hours and hours yet still somewhere not reaching the destination yet. think positively, everyone can drive / ride safer and save the pocket too. nowadays, i noticed many drive fast, many drive wrongly also they dont realised lor, somemore honk u back, show u fingers. Not saying that I'm the best driver / rider out there but many seems forget / donno abt the basics. Let us ask ourselves, when we drive / ride (some basics which most new license ppl wont know): 1. do we keep track of cars behind via rearview / side mirror from time to time. 2. how near you follow behind a bike? do you know that bike's stopping distance is much shorter comparing to cars? 3. before switch lanes, do you rely purely on the side mirrors? 4. when to use the high beams? 5. when turning into a junction, when is best time to start turning the steering? 6. do you give ways to motorcyclist during jam? 7. do you see as far as possible a few cars in front or just the car in front. 8. when u pass thru deep water spot area during rain, do u avoid the water spot and braking or hold tight the steering and go thru it firmly. 9. when heavy rain, do you switch on the double signal (emergency indicator)? 10. in hiway, when missed a junction, u go straight or just brake and try to get into the exit?? 10. parking, sigh... dont ever mention. 11. many more. Even worst now is that new cars today have different 'gadgets' that many seems donno how to use it..like left side control stick for signals in European cars and proton. Foot brake (not hand brake), drive too close to the airbag steering wheel, drive a huge car but donno how to handle.... sorry for the lengthy post. |

QUOTE(kcng @ Oct 23 2012, 11:06 PM) if i din break the law, what is there to summon me on? I do agree with you that even 10kph, there will be accident if no fatality.and what has it got to do with rich or not ? u break u pay.. sounds familiar? actually, even if i put a speed limit of 10 km/h, there will still be fatality... why? idiocy aka ppl who think their driving skills is godlike... why the AES is being implemented (please fark the politics for now)? to ensure drivers like you follow the law and at the same time, hopefully reduces the chance of an accident happening... but trust me, accident will still happen due to the reason stated above but i will repeat it again, idiocy... so again, why do you think there is a speed limit setup for the trunk roads/highway/expressways? case in point: how many of you guys can pass an advanced driving course or even for the matter of fact, the malaysian-level driving course without paying tea money? how many of you knows the basic traffic law and obey it? how many of you knows how to properly handle a vehicle? (do you know a moving vehicle is effectively a killing machine?) even full time professional drivers driving in a controlled environment can crash, what more a normal driver like you? i can go into the 25% figures of the article quoted if you want.... Things are more advanced but driving skills are going backwards. Whether they want to ensure drivers follow law or even reduces accident.. it 'may' have many agenda behind all these. All are excuses. abt the advanced driving course..huh, dont even mentioned that as many dont even know the basics. Not sure even JPJ officers, how many can pass. It could be all current driving schools and JPJ are like "Crap teaching the young craps how to walk straight". car manufacturer trying their best to put in all the safety features but drivers are challenging them always. "I have best car in the world... 10 airbags, ABS, TCS, VSC, ABC, DEF, 10 stars safety rating...etc etc", so he can drive fast and furious. OR "I have the biggest car (pick ups, SUVs).. it has better rangka when ramping each other".. ?? QUOTE(zenix @ Oct 23 2012, 11:53 PM) but the thing i most agree with you is we need to increase the quality of drivers we have in the country. Yes.. it is drivers. Not rules. They think they are the best and experience.. all others shxt.![]() how many times when we reach a t-junction got some idiot half way out blocking the road? or flying out of the corner then slow down when on the mainroad? your question...haha the yellow car wont give ways and fly out..then another car from the right hand will not give way too.. plus another few cars will jump ques from outer lanes.. best ever... I'm not sure this thinking is right? QUOTE(queenc @ Oct 23 2012, 11:55 PM) QUOTE(jimmy.soo @ Oct 23 2012, 11:59 PM) QUOTE(queenc @ Oct 24 2012, 12:03 AM) QUOTE(zenix @ Oct 24 2012, 08:43 AM) talking about that. MEX.. another sigh.. so far can see the signs but no cameras yet.. how we expected to overtake right lane road hoggers going at 90kmh at MEX highway when the speed limit is 90kmh and they refuse to move over 90kph is slow.. many will hogged all the way man. Have to start journey from 5am in order to reach office. I drive like 90-110 or higher in MEX.. road is straight, just need to aware of few corners. Some are 70kph in middle lanes.. some 80-90 in fast lane.. not moving over. Bike may not be a choice though as bike also kena saman.. sigh. |

QUOTE(cokelatpanda @ Oct 24 2012, 10:20 AM) Let’s play physics. If I’m travel on Plus highway cruising 150km/h. Can I arrive at the AES camera make a 110km/h cruising within 2 -3 km stretch (The AES warning signboards are located between 2km and 3km before the camera)? What’s the optimum stretch if I want to slowdown gradually, no sudden braking? If based on just this and really need to travel 150kph, you shld not just slow down gradually, need to keep left / give ways when slowing down.Dont forget, there are mobile AES also. |
