i don't think it is that easy to open a bank account and it doesn't matter if he used a fake ic. Some more the bank will as well take legal action against him for fraud. i strongly believe the bank account belong to the really johnny.

there are so many cctv in the bank where he opened the account. very easy to spot you one.

start pm everyone that you took their money, apologize and return it.

Well, better to educate buyers on possible con tactics and let them be wary than to assume that con men are unimaginative.

Anyways, concerning my earlier tip, don't take it literally lar.. when I said spot for other sellers.. what i meant was look for other legit sellers (i.e. sellers that have conducted successful trades).. If there are legit sellers selling at that price, then deal is would likely be legit.... (though not always)

Also, needless to say, if you see 2 or more sellers with very few post counts and having opened accounts in more or less the same time, be wary.

i guess there are no police reports were lodge, everyone is starting to forget they've been con, been con for about 8k. this is typical m'sian attitude.

sudah mati la this thread. anyway i asked my friend who used to work in a bank, he said can actually freeze the fella bank account if got proof, meaning must have police report - so everyone who have the bank in slip or proof of the transaction can all go to police station as a gang and make a report. then go to the bank with the police report and demand the bank account to be frozen. anyway i think it's all too late liao la the johnny guy must be already enjoying spending all the conned money.
