Currently using Contact CC5 on a 185/60/R14 size tyre..and now because of the thread is running out hence is quite noisy especially travel around 110km/h time..

After some research i found out that the Yokohama C-Drive 2 is actually quite good both in Dry and Wet rite? so i need some suggestion on you guys whether is worth changing it anot?
If not C-Drive 2 then what else?? and normally tyre was selling appox what price /each?

I need something which is good in both dry and wet although i know in this size there isn't much selection to choose from. which then again the CC5 is quite SUCKS at wet condition and try Hydroplane @ 90km/h drive before..which is kinda scary..==

Suggestion PLEASE... smile.gif

from a lot of feedback of cc 5, i would say so. however as i never drove with cc5 before, i cant say for sure

i do drive over 100km/h before in heavy rain with my c drive 2. straight line, not corners (i dont want to die yet lol) and not much aquaplaning issue.

granted, it wasnt prolonged at that speed/very deep water levels (haven't flood until my radiator levels to insta cool it lol)

in other words, if you drive very gentle/sensible, c drive 2 will be just fine. hell if you're surviving on a cc5, chances are you'll do ok with c drive 2.

now, downside.
expensive
supposedly wears fast (soft orange oil compound lol)

it isnt really normal. from feedback everywhere, cdrive 2 does wear faster than normal tires.

for my case, my tires only 5-6+ months. so... cant comment also lol

Oo..okay..gosh..this size tyre really had not much choice to go for.. which really piss me off.. shakehead.gif

Alright, will see then..thanks bro smile.gif

yeap .. both green tires .. but XM2 got higher treadwear right ?
*
Yea...i might be going for Michelin XM2 coz after hearing my friend suggestion that he told me michelin tyre is like Soft -type of tyre which he using the PS3 ..hence Dry and Wet grip is better than Conti coz nowadays those local made Conti is suck alot...

So XM2 is a good choice rite? coz if i not mistaken C-Drive 2 that found on the market is those Grey importers that they import those tyre personally rather than Yokohama Malaysia itself rite?

I heard a lots people say that Michelin XM2 quite bad in grip on Dry and Wet Surfaces.

Here is My Opinion. I used XM1 and I think XM2 wont have much difference , and I just changed to Bridgestone GR90, the difference is too much already. The Grip of GR90 greater than XM1 on Dry Surface, the XM1 you drive very fast, you can feel it not grip and like drifting.

Rubber of XM1 is harder that why it last longer than normal tyre, when you pass through a road with hole , you will feel very painful . So I suggest you get GR 90 or C Drive 2 which the rubber more soft

Is bad in Dry and Wet? but i saw on Tyrereview.com the percentage is almost the same oo..just Progressive is way low for XM2 sweat.gif

as far as i know they are from YHI. however the tires aren't from japan (not yokohama high end range anyways) and they are typically from Philippines  or some even Thailand. grey importers or not wouldn't matter, as warranty claims for tires are grey lined as hell. (most of the time they just say your own dmg and no claims will be entertained)
*
YHI?? yea..i dont care about the warranty coz normally they dont care.

What i care is the manufacturer of those tyre basically i looking for tyre which is fresh like 1 - 2 month ..i had ask Quicksave which they had the C-Drive 2 but the manufacturer day was 4 months back..which i wonder is worth it anot as i know rubber tends to become harder after some period from the manufacturer day.

Still doubt whether to stay back on this 185/60/R14 or change to bigger rim = which lead to lower profile tyre which also then let me to have more choice like Michelin PS3.

anything under half a year is pretty damn new. considering c drive 2 wears faster than most tires, chances are you'll change them before 3 years anyways :/

Izzit? Okay...hmm..will think about it bro..

Thanks for all the suggestion given appreciated smile.gif

well....tyre is not food
even more than 1 year also doesnt matter
every tyre got 1layer of wax to prevent tire getting hard
just make sure tire keep indoor and avoid direct sunlight and water
*
Okay...coz my car is park outside everyday expose to sunlight...cannot do anything also..

Btw since you got shop i wanna ask do you have C.Drive 2 ? for 185/60/R14 ?

anyone got latest price for cdrive2 around klang valley?? urgent! 185/60r14

Been using C-Drive 2 for over a month more...To be honest for cornering is abit too soft because it is soft compound tyre but for Dry and Wet condition the tyre is way better the Conti CS5 ALOT ..

No regret changing this tyre, since you will gain better grip Wet & Dry condition and very quite ride. smile.gif

I get mine @ Rm 185 per peice for 185/60/R14
