i use my samsung galaxy s3 with my unifi 10mbps via my linksys E4200 wifi N router. Yes it has the dual band 5ghz which the S3 supports, but i'm using the 2ghz instead. My router also uses Tomato Toastman firmware.

I disable data when i am at home, and instead use the wireleness N from my router to access the internet from using my Unifi. It's faster 

If i really must use data when outside the home, i think u2mobile is probably the cheapest/best internet data plan for mobile. You pay minimum Rm28 a month and get unlimited internet data usage, but with a small monthly cap which after you have exceeded will throttle your speed, but still good enough to viber/skype, instant message and surf the web.

using the app called locale you can automatically enable/disable data and wireless N, for example when i am at home it will disable data and enable wireless N. When i leave home it does the reverse. This saves time having to do it manually.

one thing notice different is after fully charge it will not drop to 99% after u on the phone , I was surprise
to see the battery still 100% even though standby for about 2 hrs plus .

whats bataria setting when power saving mode is on?
cant seem to change the setting like CPU overclock underclock.
