QUOTE(Zhao @ Aug 10 2012, 10:31 PM) Am using stock kernel that came with vanam2.1. works great although lacks of certain cool feature from siyah. is this guide good enough?battery life is great smoothness in gaming is great Gonna use it till something greater comes . http://galaxys3root.com/galaxy-s3-roms/how...oted-galaxy-s3/ so this step is a must right? Step 3. Choose “wipe data/factory reset”. |

QUOTE(noobandroid @ Aug 10 2012, 10:47 PM) that was what it used to be compulsory, but not now since wipes are scripted into NO WIPE ROMs, but recommended still QUOTE(Zhao @ Aug 10 2012, 10:52 PM) no need to wipe unless when you flash a rom and theres some broken apk ,weird error ,then only you wipe. hmm.. if I did a Titanium Backup already. then I can just wipe data and factory reset right? since I can restore it with tb later. If that is the case, might as well, wipe it first before flash the ROM? |

GT-I9300_WanamLite.XXBLG9.V2.1.NO-WIPE.zip many thanks |

guys.. is this normal?
I used TB batch files to "backup user apps and system data" after flash another ROM, I restore using TB "Restore user apps and system data" However, after restore, I open my game and found out that I need to download the files all over again, is this normal? For example, I need to download the files for Real racing 2 again when I open the apps. I thought TB is suppose to restore those files as well? |

Guys.. I know this has been asked before, but I would just like to make sure that:
1) I am currently running wanam 2.1. So to flash to wanam 2.2, I just follow the steps (cwm recovery, wipe, flash) I used to flash wanam 2.1 right? 2) I suppose my internal sd data will be gone after flashing to wanam 2.2 right? 3) When I flash wanam 2.1 last time, I backup using Titanium backup, I choose the option from batch file "Backup all user apps + system data". After flashing rom, I restored using "Restore missing apps + all system data". The problem is, when I on my games (dead trigger , Real racing 2), it prompt me to redownload all those big files again. Am I doing something wrong with my TB backup? Or I need to use some other apps or ways to backup those downloaded games files? 4) If I backup using "Backup all user apps + system data" and restore using "Restore missing apps + all system data", will all those junk files, apps, bloatware be restored back to my phone? Sorry for the long list of questions. Many Thanks! |
