Thanks all.

Looks like samsung can't control all the volumes at one go with the buttons then, like my other android phones eg. LG and Dell.

Have to use these apps or the setting icon. blush.gif

When you press the volume buttons and see the sliderbar for the ringtone come out, press the settings icon on the side of the bar, the sliders for the other sounds will appear.

QUOTE(ChipZ @ Aug 11 2012, 12:11 AM)
I just installed Sygic, but after that it requires me to download another 283MB worth of data. When I get disconnected in between it will need to restart all over again.
*
Just want to ask, the sygic navigation on play store is the 14 day trial version right? What happens after 14 days? Do I need to pay to use or are some features disabled?

How much is the app if I need to pay?

The selling price is now Euro 23.99 for Msia n Spore maps
http://www.sygic.com/en/android:buy-now

I last paid Euro 9.99 and Euro 14.99 for 2 licences under special offer. That is normal pricing Euro 23.99 now , used to be euro 19.99

When you press volume key, there's a setting button. It will pop up a on screen setting for ring vol, notification vol, and media vol.

After the trial end, you need to purchase the license to continue using.

Your choice. Every software update always has some improvements. Update it than you will know. There is no harm updating. Why are so hesitant. If so dont use a Nexus phone , whose main purpose is its advantage is the quick software updates from Google and the large amount of custom roms and kernels available

Google launch "Google Ears" New Music Recognition App for Galaxy S3

Google Ears is a Shazam or SoundHound-like service, which analyzes the music coming from your surroundings and tells you the artist and name of the song, as well as some other info about it. Among other things, it also let's you buy the song quickly, if it's available on the Google Play Store.

It's an ICS thing. The unified volume control existed only until GB.
