Who knows the weight of the 16" R3 rims? Quite interested to use it on my wife's CFE provided that the rims are lightweight...Proton Prevé V14, Turbocharged Car; Supercharged Thread

QUOTE(mfharun @ Aug 14 2012, 01:27 PM) Stay tuned for the new preve as what the insider told me, Proton engineers already solved the sluggishness so do the FAMOUS "less pickup than EXORA BOLD experience" problem. But, the thing is, the fuel consumption would be sacrificed a lil bit, so do the emission. So for current Preve owners..got any solutions? ECU remap or whatsoever perhaps? |

QUOTE(kiapreve @ Aug 15 2012, 09:45 AM) Nope, not me...that is Bro IZPUTRA. He drive Forte & His Wife Drive Preve. May be you can get some advise from him to make a decision. yupp..that's me My advise? Hmm..it's quite hard to advise bro nic actually. I myself did not own Forte 1.6EX in the first place in order to compare it with my Preve CFE. I only can compare it to my Forte 2.0SX (CBU) as below : Handling = Preve (undeniable) Ride Smoothness = Forte (Preve CVT need to be refined) Comfort = Preve (maybe due to its 16" rims & tune for comfort suspension. Forte SX use 17" rims with sports tune suspension) Cabin Quietness = on par (Forte got tire noise due to its wider tires, Preve got engine noise due to its CVT) Build Quality = Forte (Forte is more refined in its build) Acceleration = Forte (That's for sure though the Preve's torque is higher) FC = Forte (especially on highway drive. City drive (low speed) i would say on par. Mind u..my Forte is 4-speeder, not 6-speeder which will give better FC i believe) Specs & Price = Compare it yourself..lol My wife's verdict = From her own words, if she were given a choice between these 2 cars to drive..she prefer to drive my Forte rather than her Preve CFE.. At the end..it's your money, your car & your own satisfactions..so choose the car wisely. For me, there are no wrong choice for both cars This post has been edited by izputra: Aug 15 2012, 10:53 AM |

QUOTE(fulat @ Aug 15 2012, 09:37 AM) Nope..it depends on the direction of the collision. If it was just a front collision, only front airbags will deploy. If it was just a side collision, only the side airbags will deploy. & if it was just a rear collision, non of the airbags will deploy This post has been edited by izputra: Aug 15 2012, 02:09 PM |

QUOTE(pabllox @ Aug 17 2012, 04:39 AM) Hi..im asking on behalf of my sister's preve..there is sound like fan after turn off engine..wut is it exactly..thanks It is completely normal. Dont worry. If the car detects that the turbo unit is too hot when u off the engine, it will activate the fan for a while to cool it down (for the sake of the engine itself)This post has been edited by izputra: Aug 17 2012, 06:42 AM |

I'm shocked. Tears is in my eyes. Did not read this forum for 3 days & end up today with this very2 sad news. Though i do not know him personally, but i always read his informative posts here. I feel lost of friend who really like to share his passion on Preve here. RIP bro fulat & my deepest condolence to his family...

QUOTE(ecosystem @ Aug 29 2012, 12:25 PM) God willing..will do later on.My wife's Preve as of now is performing very well. No problem whatsoever except for a minor rattling sound which is acceptable (just turn on the radio..lolz). Only that the FC is quite high comparing to my Forte 2.0, the unsolved issue of water spraying to the wiper arm (right side) & the side mirror default behaviour that annoys us a bit. But that's not the problem after all I did gave my simple comparison review between both cars on my previous2 post..not sure when & on what version of this thread i posted it..too many posts in several forums..
