Expensive, supplier prob is not the real reason.

I went test drive last saturday at Mutiara D'sara COSE, SA said Red got paint problem.. During QC, they realise got uneven patches of paint, so had to redo.. then another car same prob, got patches, redo.. redo...redo..

so proton decided to stop, bcos they cant afford to repaint the car every time..

So I ask la, isnt the Persona/Exora red is the same? they said its almost the same, but not exactly.. so cant use the same paint.. this im not too sure la whether make sense or not.. bcos to me, the red looks the same.

Exora's red is Plum Red. Darker hue.

If it's still in stock, or Proton somehow addressed the issue later on. We haven't bought it yet, but in case the Red is still not available then the Brown (Gold is more lie it really) is our main choice. So much more less boring than White or black or the dreaded silver.

I see. Maybe some issues with the paint mix I guess. So much can go wring with custom paints manufacturers go for.

SA said not to worry. IF the car is given to customer, means the colour is fine... no colour patch. so dont think urs has defect paint.

i think the saga FLX SE shares the same fire red colour right? seems similar to me..

why can't they use the inspira plum red then? i'm so sick of seeing white and silver (MOSTLY) preve on the road! we need more colors!!

btw is lagoon blue still available?

Guys, do you experience fog/misting at ur front windscreen near the 2 windscreen demisters?

I always experience it as there is soft cooled air coming out from there causing misting although i switch to any non-demister mode.

Is it leakage or is it standard for preve?

Easy..just buy rm2 bulb..if you wanna save rm2 go to their SC and get it fix.

i'm also starting to like hybrid cars, but then, not many to choose from, especially those under the 100k limit.. there are other option that you might want to consider.. since now many modern cars are designed to be fuel efficient... and to comply to environment regulation... try look for blogs with reviews...

i always put safety as my main priority, among which why i was considering preve earlier... due to the safety features it has... it has reinforced structure, airbags, abs, stability control, traction control, and such... and to make it an interesting deal, the car is affordable... i consider this as a good deal...

but then again... i do admit earlier batches of cars would definitely have minor issues, since the car manufacturer mostly test on the engine and handling features when testing, rather than the non-critical components...

my E90 also do have defects, had to changed the ABS twice (which until today after 2 years of owning the car, the ABS warning light still triggers), i had prob with the door locking mechanism, some rattling issues... so no car's is perfect... (maybe some beemer owner too shy2 to admit)...

that's great bro! especially on the collision repair & spray job... must get my bro to send his beloved antique wira to this place to get his front bonet repaired and painted... keep on sending to small2 shop ended up rusting here & there...
