hahahahaha now i get it: c4 and c4 detonator!
okay so let me get this straight.. the japanese release of the console and the Asian release of the console: two different things? i'm assuming that for the japanese consoles - u need the c4 detonator cos of the voltage difference but for asian consoles u don't need the detonator? (the c4 is probably gonna stay i presume) but the thing is asian consoles can only play ntsc/j games or region free games. is that it? and u say that the main diff is the release dates..what about the aforementioned issues in question (language in the game, menu text, voice overs)? sorry lot of questions but as they say, "shy shy ask you lose your way". |

QUOTE(Sd-RawK-Cab25 @ Jan 31 2006, 09:49 PM) hahahahaha now i get it: c4 and c4 detonator! On some Japanese games like DOA4 and PGR3, the language can be changed to English. Their manuals and boxes are in Japanese. okay so let me get this straight.. the japanese release of the console and the Asian release of the console: two different things? i'm assuming that for the japanese consoles - u need the c4 detonator cos of the voltage difference but for asian consoles u don't need the detonator? If you can wait I'd suggest you wait for the SG release. You won't need the stepdown converter for the console and the prices for games and accessories and games are cheaper compared to the US or Japanese version. |

most NTSC/J games that are released in Singapore, contains English language option as it caters for Asian gamers in Singapore. Some of them are direct copies of NTSC/UC games, just that they change the region coding to NTSC/J. So no need to be afraid lar i think.

Yup, I'm sure most of the shops here will have the Asian console once it's released.if so...then kewl! so what to look for/spot on the console to know that it's the asian release or japanese release? don't want to be conned kaw-kaw in the future.. thanks dudes fer the help! As for how to differenciate the consoles, the Japanese unit will have Japanese words all over the box and it'll require a stepdown transformer to run. Request to have the console tested out first before purchasing it. |
