1GB performance ram won't do squat if your games requires more than 1GB. I'd take slower but larger memory modules any time.

There's no point if you have 1GB of superfast memory with supertight timings if your applications uses more than 1GB of ram; causing your hard disk to swap disk.

You will encounter better experience with more ram in this case. It all depends on how much ram you're using in your daily applications and games.

even in AMD systems? so far i heard in AMD systems, the clock speed is important. is this true? if thats the case which one would bring more benefit to an AMD system? tight timings or high mem freqs?

UCCC is normally designed for high speed with high latencies; at least from the sticks that I have. The best I can get is 3-4-4-8 @ 275Mhz. Not too bad for a 1GB stick module but my board dictates that it must run 2T.

This is UCCC thread. I believe there's a TCCD/TCCC thread somewhere. Kindly post your query there, thanks.

Yeah it can get a bit hot especially if both of them are placed next to each other in your mobo. However, in my case, I am using a 12cm fan to blow at it directly and the placing is having a huge gap, so no temp issues. It is rock solid at 270-275mhz.

guys, do ur UCCC rams get very hot with 2.6v?
mine damn hot..
juz got AllnGaps cooler, manage to squeeze  more mhz..
now doing 260 memtest stable
but the ram still hot...@2.65v.. even with cooler

----------------
WTF... im still suffering random reboots when rams beyond 255
its not BSOD, but reboot..
feed vcore 1.5v also a no go..
damnit, its memtest stable >__>
could it be seriously shitty mem controller??

What is your cpu? What is the multiplier you set when you set your RAM to that timing? It's better to list your hardware spec here to enable others to better help you.

If you're using 512MB modules, why do you buy UCCC? Should have gotten TCCDs.
