Need experts help here.
If incoming fax, printing is alright. When Copy, there will be random position thick horizontal black strips. When scan, same black strips. So i conclude this cannot be toner prob.

High probability is the scanner stick. But my question is, why is it not fixed at a certain position, but rather randomly top bottom and center. And sometimes, dont have the strips.

Called samsung careline, as usual, need to send in then only know the cost.

Model : samsung scx-4521f
Thanks in advance

yep, the scanner unit is playing up. the reason it's not always at the same spot is because the scanner unit has an intermittent fault. so whenever it plays up you get a black strips and it can happen at any moment during the scanning process.

You scan and copy with ADF or flatbed?
Try both method couple of times and see if the problem persisted.

Have you open up the ADF unit to check if there is any stain/ dust? And did you also try lubricate the roller in ADF unit? I've work with one of this Samsung printer before and amazingly, lubricate the roller solve the problem.

If all done and the problem still there, I can tell is the scanning unit issue and its not worth to be repair at all.
