Not many people know what is concrete polish, do don't get disappointed.

Mine was only acids staining, not concrete polish. Rate will be difference. Expect to be 2 digit for flooring polish. I really don't know how much, you should call them and ask. during expo I ask another company it, it was about 20 something potter sqft. You need to prepare the floor first. They don't Kay concrete floor.

If you have big area and many windows, is really nice to do this old school things. Really out of this world. But I recommend you let the floor concrete to cure and wait 6 months.

I don't remember quite well since it's already almost a year since I last study on this, but if you are getting the pros to do it (ie Bomanite), the 6 months curing period is not needed.
The act of polishing with diamond dusted pad will actually seals up the concrete surface and really hardens it. And I think some processes have the polishing work done before the concrete cures.

The 6 months is incase the floor crack, even harderning after polish can't prevent concrete crack on the floor. Some even in extend to letting it for more than 6 months, and use big rebard to ensure floor don't have crack. But unfortunate is not easy to control.

I saw a house with this beauty, it really dam dam coool. The owner use mixture of difference stone for the concrete floor, Some color stone, shanghai stone and mixsute of mid to big stones. After polish is dam really cool.

If you are talking about cracks, long curing isn't the answer. Proper curing is the answer.
Concrete cracks because it shrinks when it dries. A proper curing means it dries up evenly and will have minimal cracks.

But ultimately, it is pretty much impossible to prevent cracks, especially when the area is huge. The best way is to guide and hide the cracks with control joints.
I hope you manage to get your polished concrete floor. Pictures if you do.

It won't prevent, what i got to know the owner will knock out a portion of large crack line, and pour the same set of concrete into the area. Saw the area and was pretty impress with close to no hairline crack.

Need to see the actual floor to tell. From my eye look like acid staining after the cement floor are level.

It can also be vin floor.
