totally agreed on this

nobody's fault here. the ambulance coming from blind spot. yes they sound the siren, but you can't make out where it came from if you inside a car. and the ambulance do have the right of way.

so when you are in an emergency, even in a life threatening one, you can only use the siren only when you are driving forward, and people would give way for you.

But when you reach a traffic light that needed you to take a junction, you must wait for the traffic light?

we do not really know how fast the driver are going.

its pretty normal that you going in a speed which is abit fast, coz you are at distance.

for me....i will slowed down abit but in real...it still pretty fast.

and yes I know you cant turn on the double blinker, because double blinker means your car broke down and you should stop driving. instead people use that for speeding.. but that's not relevant.

how about he could clearly notice the ambulance coming around 0:18 of the video.. around 5 second before impact..

he's incompetence driver.. did not alert of surrounding..

don't expect the ambulance driver to be cautious in this case, they had excuse.. the siren was on.. the driver clearly had ample time to react..

duh~ they call another ambulance laa.. aiyo.. the ambulance already immobilize,, you expect them to still drive on the road..

accident does happen. In this case the firetruck in the wrong.. so what?? now every emergency vehicle in the wrong if accident happen??
and the firetruck grazed the motorcycle.. it was unfortunate.. small vehicle vs big vehicle which has a lot of blind spot.

but in this case, the drive clearly had a chance (5 second to slow down) to avoid the accident if the driver was more alert of the surrounding.

Similar to the video, the news did not highlight what the other party was doing prior to the accident, we can't judge based on the news itself. I don't see how the video and this news correlate with each other, if you're trying to imply that the firetruck, responding to an emergency had caused the death of a motorcyclist then that isn't quite fair to them. You're blatantly judging them without enough evidence. Don't simply cherry-pick news just because it sounds like it concurs with your statement.

It is a unspoken rule that you should give way to emergency respondent and/or if you hear sirens you should be careful. For goodness sake, if you can hear a siren from an ambulance or fire truck, high chances are the driver behind you can hear the siren as well. That is your responsibility as a driver.

If you yourself don't give way to emergency respondents then you are a douche-bag.
