QUOTE(ronnie @ Oct 1 2012, 04:23 PM) Details copied from the pamphlet received from SCB... also that's what was explained to me. i.e. put RM100k, gets back RM100k + 3.5% + 2.5% My simple minded analysis ... close ended fund; once buy in, difficult to get out (until it matures) .. why fund manager's need to work so hard? Unlike other bond funds, can switch anytime .. if fund A is not good, switch to fund B .... fund manager will have to work harder .. like I said, my simple minded analysis, can be totally missing the point ...

QUOTE(Gen-X @ Oct 4 2012, 01:32 PM) Anyway, for those of you with OCBC PB or thinking of getting PB status, in my Fixed Deposit page I have shown how one can combine the 5% 3 Months FD with the Combo to earn maximum interest. And you can continue to do so with this option if your FD matures before end of this year IF you have joint account. The trick is, when you sign up the first time, make sure only the first name applies for PB status. After 3 months, deposit the money again and earn 5% for half AUM but this time the joint account holder name shall be first and get him/her to apply for PB status Done that already .. but now coming to the end of 6 months .. cannot use the same trick already as both names are already in OCBC PB list. Any other loop holes ... which I am not aware off? quote tag fixed. This post has been edited by MilesAndMore: Oct 4 2012, 02:03 PM

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Oct 22 2012, 03:45 PM) Yes. Can. you can have up to 3+1 premier accounts 1) Husband name 2) Wife name 3) Husband or/and wife names (Husband name as principal account holder) 4) Wife or/and Husband names (Wife name as principal account holder) As for the +1, I'm not sure whether you can have two separate accounts for for the 3rd and 4th join account type. Please check with the bank and give your feed back to the forum. Option 3 and 4 not applicable, according to my RM. Delist 1 when using 2. Then wait for another 3 months (park somewhere else) before repeat 1 & 2 cycle again.

QUOTE(magika @ Oct 22 2012, 09:06 PM) I think most of us dont understand what you are saying.. Let me explain ... Use husband name as premier account holder for 3 months before cancel premier status (need 6 months to be effective). Then use wife's name as premier for another 3 months. The balance 3 months, find another home for the $. After husband's name is delisted, the whole cycle repeats. This suggestion option is if you do not have other family members to add into the premier list; like parents, grandparents, children above 18 and etc.

Is the "Maybank GIA-i interest for Premier Mudharabah Account-i" still on? If going to end on end of Dec, is the 2% additional payout in Jan 2013? Anyone know if this promotion will continue in 2013? Please share info .. thanks.

QUOTE(RO Player @ Dec 30 2012, 11:12 AM) Since going to year end...i thinking to park 200k to 300k to another bank for higher FD rates..for 2013..from maybank (hope to get prizes), and give a quick switch.. I also have some $ with Maybank Premier Mudharabah Account-i. Question : can withdraw all on 2 Jan and still get the 2% in middle of Jan or have to maintain amount until the 2% has been credited into account? Please advise. Thanks.

QUOTE(RO Player @ Jan 3 2013, 04:06 AM) KFH..upfront interest?? can it be taken out...or it is compounded on top of ur savings.? Yes, the interest will be credited to another KFH account (saving or current) in about 1 week after opening FD. Once it is credited, you can take it out but cannot be use to top up the original FD.

QUOTE(BoomChaCha @ Feb 6 2013, 08:52 PM) I just found out the drawback for this Affin CASA promotion is that it needs to top-up minimum RM 20K for the following months during the promotion period: http://www.affinbank.com.my/news/campaign/...eFortune-EN.pdf[attachmentid=3299360] We definately are using a different Affin bank branch. Mine ... never call me before, never receive any free gifts ... eventhough $$$ in saving account qualifies for PB. Only reason for doing business in Affin bank is because .. no need to queue. Will move $$$ after CNY ... Mine is in Penang, Jalan Tengah.
