Wow, you are quoting a figure of 300k. Magika, for the 4.2%, was your amount higher or lower than that ? Sorry for being too direct.

Hong Leong's FD at 4.18% p.a. for 12 months looks good..... but the only drawback is the meager earnings for the 20% in CASA which would be earmarked for 4 months
Is anyone here going for it? |

QUOTE(duncan880409 @ Jan 20 2013, 04:43 PM) Wow, thanks for the sharing...by putting upfront interest back as FD will yield 4.03% p.a. overall. (But need to visit twice, right?)The deals are getting hotter. Anyway, I have committed my fund in Mach FD 4.00% and BR FD 4.11%. All good for the time being. If I have more fund, will most likely go back to Mach or BR as I have acct and i-banking facility all setup. Unless it is much more to justify the new customer/acct/i-banking opening process. |

Musical Chair players will not delay their deposit even for more than a day as 300k x 4% /365= RM32.87 per day.Magika, for the 4.2%, was your amount higher or lower than that ? Sorry for being too direct. Dont trust everything you read... |

Hi guys and gals,
Firstly thank you for all the informative posts here - I have been a "lurker" for a while, and looking through the posts has given me quite a lot of information. I have a question though. I'm considering placing an amount $400-500K in FD in the next couple of months. Looking to split at least 10% to SA, the rest in FD. Not interested in any free gifts from the banks, but MUST have full electronic banking facilities (online statements etc). This is coz I will be overseas quite a lot. My question is that are there any banks that will provide a credit card (VISA/MC) tied to the SA component, ie like an offset account? Prefer a "premier" card that will allow benefits like airport lounge access etc. Thanks again. |
