Zzr is a good bike, if you get a good condition one that is. But a good condition one is very very rare. If it's very very very good, i doubt the owner would sell it since the bike cant fetch much price anyway. Would rather keep and use, Unless if that bike got some unresolveable issue. Then no choice but to dump it to the next person.

I started off my biking with a zzr250 (apart from kapchai lah) and i learnt alot from there. But in the course of learning, i paid alot of "tuition fee" lah... Personally i only had little regret for using that bike, but at that time, there arent much choice in the market unlike today, so maybe it is fated.

It is a good learners bike not only in terms of riding technique but also as an introductory course for other big bikes as well, about bike maintenance and also getting to know some ppl who treasure genuine friendship (zzrianz) unlike some groups that started off well but eventually breaks up due to many many issues.

So, if you intend to get a cheap bike as starter bike, yes consider a zzr but be very very careful in selecting one. Maklum la dah motor tua... Mesti banyak wear and tear, luckily parts masih berlambak kat sentul. Better standby some money for immediate repairs once u get the bike on hand.
