QUOTE(mADmAN @ Oct 14 2012, 10:13 PM)
on the side is good if u using airbox... useless if using open pod.

coz with airbox...the hose will be the only source of air...and the airbox will SUCK the air in...

but open pod will suck air all around.. .n the hose will only work if there is air being PUSHED into the hose... i.e when the car is moving... the open pod doesnt really suck air from the hose.. its more like the hose is channeling cold air that is being PUSHED through it to the open pod.

so if u put at the side.. pointless coz u got no air being PUSHED through the hose.

even if u hit water oso... no biggie wat.. like i said...the air isng being sucked in... its being pushed in.... ive put a hose in my ex-EF before... but about 2" hose only la... went through numerous puddles etc... ok je....no water near my filter at all....

those who use open pod and put the hose at the side seriously deserves a doh.gif
*
Bro, agree with u. I also kenot understand those who use open pod, drill a hole in their bumper at the side. I mean, how on earth the cold air can be channeled in??? Silly

Aku dah check tadi, pakai hos sembah air kat tingkap, memang nampak air keluar ikut gap dekat speaker dgn door panel.
Neo aku paling basic 1.3 auto, x datang dgn speaker depan. Lepas tambah speaker baru start bocor, plastik dlm koyak  sweat.gif

perkara kecik je la. pergi cari proton SC terdekat, buat balik. takde masalah

ooohh.. ok thats fair...
then i think i'll go for wax it wet.. hehe
thx for the advise  smile.gif

you should look up for sonax's high speed wax. It's below RM50 but it's very good. Easy to use and has a decent shine.

Try to avoid Turtle Wax....their quality isnt that good.

i think this new r3 is a huge disappointment. Somemore the Proton dude can say, this is cheaper than their previous r3 model and should be able to sell....da hell, this new r3 has no r3 performance parts at all....
