gives you hope ain't it?

i don't believe they will rival the big budget teams as well... lampre could have taken them in on the basis that they would be a co-sponsor while previously willier might not have been a co-sponsor... only an equipment sponsor or even the possibility that the team had to buy their bikes with their sponsorship money...

it's every bit like F1...

i am actually contemplating buying a Merida Scultura Pro as well myself and deviate from the original plan of a Race Machine... if the price is right...

even the Scultura Comp also should be a worthy purchase in my view... but we'll see how the price goes.. the new scultura series is better than the previous scultura evos as they have used braze on FDs throughout the entire range and some other things that were bettered...

also depends on how fast my piggy bank fills up... at current rate.. i don't think it will be sooner than the 2014 models come out  cry.gif this will be my weekend only bike  blush.gif

If you want to test ride my Scultura Evo, let's ride together on of these days..i'm planning for KKB--Fraser somewhere end of October.

BTW, which case and where I can buy a bike case? So that I can travel oversea with my bike. calling for Minizian..how do you transfer your bike?

BMC or Pinarello...at that level, when you already bought either 1 of them..you will not have any regret ler...

different in riding I'm not sure..but as butthead said at that level it could be more or less the same. what could trouble you in making the decision is the paintjob only tongue.gif

Decided not to carry my bike oversea. I plan to leave it in the country collecting dust while I buy a new one abroad. So that when I go back I have a bike waiting to be ridden.

So given these 3 brands, which would you go?

Scott
Pinarello
Specialized

Would not go for the highest top end model but would rather chose the 2nd highest. Any suggestion or pros and cons between the three?

either scott or specialized. choose the one you fancy

i choose specialized

Why skipping the Italian bro? I always feel that pinarello is bulkier and muscular looking paired with some 50mm deep rims.

I'm in dilemma..an expensive one!

Haha I'm in UAE. SL4 is in my list definitely. What do you mean a do it all bike? A madone? Is SL4 a do it all bike as well? I prefer the sloping top tube as well. They call it compact..I didn't know the term. Lol

No hilly route here only fast straight road and dusty wind.

Wanna let go my dark label FR0 to top up my new bike purchase. Ridden less than 150km for sure.

Thx for the replies bro..SL4 it is then! Should I wait until 2013? Or is the current model is the latest until next year end?

yeap, only the 303s. 404s should be fine.
*
clarifications needed. SL4 is not suitable with the 303s firecrest? why is that so?

Just read some news about the doping case of Mr. Liestrong..it's gonna be massive! A ringleader sort of thing..Will they reveal to public?

Have you ever wondered that Mr. Liestrong could be doing this to help cancer patient fights their cancer? Like a Robin Hood kinda thing.

And perhaps he went overboard and would like to collect as many TDF wins as possible..asking all his fellow teammates to dope for his win..what a leader. I bought his book..reading in awe and motivated. S*%

When is the firecamp? I have something to throw in too.

mostly compoments from those you mentioned... they didn't have differrent frame geometries hence it is all mid compact...
*
even same frame material? Only the SWORKS ver could have different in terms of its stiffness and such right?

an interesting alternative way to look at the situation...

Yeah with that 3 level analogy it seems to fit the case. But it's no autosport. It's a sport where your body performance level is the definite factor to win. That's why doping is banned to all other sports as well.

I wonder how Armstrong can still denies that he doped for all the win. With all the books he wrote..it's just pure crap.

since almost all the pros use epo and shits, let us beginners find some dopes to play with and surprise our ride buddie to the max when we top all climbing strava segments we could find. LOL

I mean, there's no harm for us weekend warriors to be dopestrong.

A group of 4 cyclist went passed me and my friend, and within minutes they are gone from our sight as we are leisure riding...only to encounter them back decending not even halfway of the climb. One of them shouted tiger! I mean..cmon can there really be a tiger at the roadside tongue.gif tongue.gif

So we continued our climb and sitting and standing like a king of the road was two big stray dogs. That made me smile! How could you come all the way from whatever and only to cancel your cycling just because you couldn't muster the fear to pass through some dogs rclxms.gif

BTW, anyone notice my cheapo bike at Genting Sempah this morning? butthead, go buy one merida and let's tandem ride together rclxms.gif merida is good..good digigidy goood

Pedalspot don't have much of shimano products, seems like they are pushing SRAM only to their shelves.

Would love to upgrade to Ultegra shifter soon, so yeah prolly will drop by Rodalink sometime. Butthead how is ur trip to Rosalink Bangsar? I was quoted 1k for Force crank and 1.4k for 2012 Red crank at my lbs.

Already fitted with 32T...bling bling and shiny. Have to buy a new SRAM chain as well..the old one not long enough..

Couldn't wait to try em out!!! smile.gif
