just went to replace the rear brake shoes, when doing the replacement, the technician told me 1 side of the bearing needs to be replaced.
he said the drum brake got sound when turning it, he showed me on the spot and indeed it has a sound. he said worry it will jam if not replacing it.
he told me the price of the bearing is rm160 excluded installation. (didnt ask is original proton, or aftermarket made)

so wanna check with you guys, is the bearing indeed RM160, or he is trying to chop me off?
thanks in advance!

if we change the absorber, let's say change the rear side only, do we have to do the alignment as well?

blink.gif and how is your question relevant?
Front no. Back chamber adjustments maybe.

so just have to adjust/change the chamber, but alignment is not necessary?

for those who have installed bodykit on their car.
normally is install the kit 1st then only paint, or paint the kit 1st, follow by install?

Confirm answer is yes because stated in the manual. But not the same type that we use for persona atf, only dexron ii I think.... can anyone confirm this ?
*
manual stated only dexron I or II can be used for power steering oil, but for ATF, it stated as only ATF-9 or ATF-SPIII can be used.

so can we use ATF-9 or SP3 as power steering oil?

Hi guys, any ways to solve the rear brake drum noise issue? I've changed the rear brake shoe but still got noisy sound when i brake..its shameful u know..

Hw much if changed to disc brake and what model is suitable for our persona car? I asked coe before, they said if use proton brand, it will cost about 3k..
*
aftermarket or original proton?
i changed mine back to August, was using Bendix (RM60), got noise whenever i brake.

replaced original proton (RM100) 2 weeks ago, no more noisy sound.
