HOW TO BATTLE ( LAN )

you need open 2 dmvpc for LAN battle

This V-Pet is written in Jython. You'll need an up-to-date version of Java to run it. It works on Windows, Mac or Linux so long as you have Java installed. On Windows, it should work if you just double-click the jarfile, but if nothing happens, try opening a command prompt in the same folder, type "java -jar <filename>", and see what the error is.

You can use Z/X/C to press the buttons as an alternative to the mouse. If you hide the plastic parts, the keyboard is the only way to press them.

For the "count" in Pendulum training/battle, you can get a megahit by pressing the B-button exactly 7 times.

You will need to set the clock, as in the original, before the egg will hatch. Once the game has started, you just press A on the clock screen to set, since C+A wouldn't be practical with the mouse.

If you increase the size of the window, the displayed image can increase in integer multiples.

How to battle online:

Open the "connection" options. At one end, choose "listen on", and choose a port. Open that port on your firewall, set up forwarding on your router, etc.

At the other end, choose "connect to". By default the box says "localhost:<port>". Change it to "<ipaddress>:<port>", where <ipaddress> is the IP of the other computer, and <port> is the same as the one you selected in the first step.

If you can't get that to work, try swapping which computer uses "connect to" and which uses "listen on". All the previous instructions should be done the other way around.

Failing this, it may be possible to connect using Hamachi or similar software.

1 file for Vpet1-6 and second file is pendulum Zero-5.5...
