even in australia, those aboriginal always get drunk and jobless..

U can only see them from what is written. But in real life go and live their lifestyle. The original people can live off nature, not wanting anything. So they grew up with this lifestyle and mentality. And then modern ages came and decide to move in on their place. They lost their land and is given house and all. What they used to live off nature then, they can't do it anymore because its all concrete and metal. So they need to work. and they have no skills and education. U know we do not need to look very far beyond KL to find these people. In Kota Damansara that area used to have a native living there. They were given flats to live in now and are mostly unemployed. I hate to say more because its disgusting at what we make them pay for living in a so called affluent area.

they do improve themselves but in a very very very slow pace, note that i typed very 3 times, if you compare to the old one, now they have phones and cars, some even study in the west malaysia

They can open orang also museum and sell tickets and souvenir sure fatt tatt

some of them are against development, they're happy with their life already & doesn't want 'outsiders' come & bug their life. once went deep into their village for official visit, kena chased off with parang because didn't knew their rituals (taboo?) to 1st meet their chief with gifts asking permission to enter their village. since then, will bring some sort of gift (rice, sugar, dunhill) for the chief first

but hey, i guess u've never seen any orang asli that are successful eh? some of them are really really educated laa....

poverty on others eyes, most of them think they're rich in natural resources, still can continue life, enough food to raise their kids. hence, we modernized ppl been seeing as intruders in their eyes....come to provide civilization but looked as the monsters to kill off their natural resources.

im 50/50, leave them as they are as they're already happy with their life rather than thinking of 'helping' them to introduce the civilization & they end up as modern life poverty, unless the govt could be ensured better life for them which i don't think might happen as there's tons poverty already out here being ignored by the govt

let them be happy with their life, ofcoz we'll continue welcoming those that willing to come out & be someone successful

the interruption of their daily lives is one, how you expect a community who lives off the forest for centuries and never touch technology to survive in a city? they cannot, they dont have the skills and required know how to survive in the concrete jungle.

just like how you throw a city boy into a jungle, he will not survive very long.

poverty is relative, if you have no money but well cooked food everyday, bed to sleep in and a few chicks to f*** a week. are you in poverty?
