hey guys im planning to jump ship to u28 this month, and my only and main concern is the stability of signal( to make and receive calls and sms) and not mobile internet.

Thanks
*
U mobile is using Maxis 2g network thats why signal to make and receive calls and sms is no problem for sure.

Hi, I plan to switch to u mobile postpaid data plan after terminating digi postpaid.

I am very interested with their postpaid plan, but my friend told me that u mobile has only good coverage in KL area. If we travel out of KL than the connection will be slow.

I sometimes travel down to northern area - kedah and rawang. Will there still be good connection?
*
u may test it out and let us know your experience, Malaysia is big enough for some place to get good coverage and some places with poor coverage, just same as any 1 of other telcos, there is no PERFECT 1

QUOTE(nightwalkertzs @ Aug 17 2013, 01:07 PM)
I before that is using 7.2Mbps modem (the one with bundle free modem), with very slow speed 700kbps. Then I thought is Modem cheap, then i put it into my galaxy Tablet to test...still the same.. doh.gif  doh.gif

Hi I am using as above picture. This should be ZTE based right?
I saw full signal, but the button just don't turn active to connect.
I saw this device auto roam to Maxis when I was at Ipoh.

Umobile broadband removed the "No extra charges after exceeding data limit" and applied PAYU policy?  blink.gif  rclxub.gif  shakehead.gif

Confused, only Postpaid plan with modem & 7.2Mbps Mobile Broadband (Prepaid)?

or

27 July 2013
Effective 27 July 2013, our new data Pay As You Use (PAYU) rate will be charged at RM0.10/MB. Applicable to both postpaid and prepaid plans.

http://www.u.com.my/all-about-u/important-notice
Any victims so far here?  sweat.gif
*
first PREPAID without UMI or any BROADBAND subscribed = PAYU, meaning PAYU rate from 0.05 to 0.1 per mb

for postpaid, there is some NOT UNLIMITED PLAN such is U38, so they follow new PAYU rate too

Meaning...? UMI prepaid plans not affected...?

I'm confused too...  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif
*
guys need not to be confused, UMI plan either 18 or 28 or 38 or 48 also UNLIMITED MOBILE INTERNET, you wont be charged any fee by using the DATA under these plans

and same case go to U28 U58 U88 and Internet Share Plan 68 and U premium which is RM 168, since all these plans are UNLIMITED DATA 1,

only those prepaid users not subscribing any plan, or those U38 and very old time U68 users who got limited 3gb data

will be charged RM 0.1 / mb PAYU cool2.gif

For your information , SUPP line that is RM 10 also will be charged

*
back to the reality, please don't expect unlimited data for BROADBAND service now, except that some special service some lyn forumers provide, but as i know mostly not lasting long

Thanks for the info!
Going to change to umobile soon...
Thinking of buying a simpack to try it out first.

I am currently on Digi postpaid, do you know the time needed to convert me from Digi to umobile?
Because almost near the month end, if the conversation took more than a week, do I get charged from Digi for next month 3g plan?
*
postpaid voice plan should be charged PRO rated while termination or ported out

usually once u get the Umobile sim card, it takes 1-3 days normally, better confirm the outstanding is cleared @ digi side, no supp line attached, no contract, no blacklist
