. TBH business normally follow what the customer demands, and most likely they realized based on their customer usage that there is a demand for a plan that provide more minutes. I have a few friends that have moved from the 28 to 38 because of this, and some that moved to 48 when it was launched.

this is just how businesses segmented the market, you want more data, 48, you want more minutes, 38. can't blame them, ,they are profit motivated organisation after all. try and tweet them and ask your friends to tweet them as well if you want 38 with 1GB, 100 minutes calls, perhaps they'll consider it if there is enough demand. this is just how businesses work. icon_rolleyes.gif

haha rational opinion cool2.gif

but RM 10 for 100 mins somehow very attractive for those who need more mins right ? and the statistic still showing that 70-80% 3g phone users using below 500mb data monthly, mainly on whatsapp and normal youtube only

doubled quota 1gb @ u28, if UMI38 same 1gb 100mins free, then postpaid U28 should be BUANG KERJA already

where did u get this 400 minutes cap bro? from http://www.u.com.my/prepaid/umi_faq

14. What happens to my unused voice minutes and sms when the subscription automatically renews?
Your unused balance will be rolled over to your new bundle along with a new validity date, however the bundle has a max cap of:

UMI 18, 50 mins & 50 sms
UMI 28, 200 mins & 60 sms
UMI 48 – 200 mins & 60 SMS
Any excess of minutes and sms will be forfeited.

seems even UMI 48 just have 200 mins only, how come UMI 38 got 400 mins?
*
it means cap = double of your freebies, so UMI 38 is max 400 mins and 60 sms
since UMI38 free 200mins and 30 sms

hmm for u mobile sales target thats mostly 15 yo till 25 yo really suit prepaid the most but overall its postpaid offer the best rate with only 0.10 per min, very attractive for salesman that need more calls and also data, add on package for mins, sms and also booster for data ease the day =.=

but for your information the prepaid benefit won't reduce so fast la, so stay in prepaid still beneficial for now, 2 years only from 24 hours free 018 - 018 call till 1 hour free till 12am-7pm free 1 hour, unlimited brought forward mins and sms with UMI till now maximum 2times of balance freebies,

but yet, still, very attractive offer =.=

tempting
the UMI although only 100 minutes talk time but can bring to next month...max 200 minutes
but the site never mention the UMI38 is 200 minute can bring forward or not
*
maximum 2 times of your freebies

meaning UMI38 maximum aggregate freebies including brought forward 1 is 400 mins and 60 sms

RM 5 100min U to U

I found this. But the comments section says not compatible with sim-locked carriers. BTW d/l is not possible due to expired link.

Do u have alternative weblinks to d/l latest ZTE firmware ?
I find  http://www.ztedevices.com/support/ hopeless to get in further.

haha there is no free lunch in the world, figure out by some google search, i did unlock it with some trials, actually we can not confirmed that all umobile mifi is locked, but for my experience so far not facing any issue la

QUOTE(shanky @ Jun 10 2013, 04:17 PM)
Hi,
anyone can advise me further ?

I went to MNP from Digi to Umobile at AU2 service centre on 04.06.2013 . they said 3 days to complete. got a sim card already.
They inform if the Digi line no more, only then switch to the new sim.

today is 10.06.2013 ,  DIGI line still available. called up u-mobile hotline , they said my number is still not in system , no submission yet. Ask them to check with the service centre (AU2) , and get back to me . and they told me  - they do not have the access at all to contact any of the branches .

Well , ask them what do i do now , they advise to go back there at the service centre to check. i told them i'm away from the city currently (no nearby centres) and i need to use my line/phone . dont tell me the solution is to top up DIgi and how do i know if the Umobile ports in right after ?
do anyone have a good phone number for me to call and settle my issue ?
how many days actually for MNP ?

* forgot to mention - its prepaid .
*
ok , first , IF they submitted your application correctly, PREPAID to PREPAID would take time 1-1.5 day for now, digi and maxis is faster than celcom prepaid

if POSTPAID to prepaid would be 1.5-3 days
but if your application is not submitted, then would be the staff manual error then we will never know.
so if your digi number didn't receive any SMS regarding MNP FAIL / REJECT / SUCCESSFUL, meaning your registration is not under processing cool2.gif

Hi ,
Thanks for replying.

but can advise - what do i do now ?

- i need to go to the service centre , again? (hassle for me, very)

- wait for it to be ported ? (till when) - the hotline told me - wait for 3-5 days MORE .....

- Register back a new application ? ( if from you , how many days it will take ? as i need to use the line . btw , i still have the sim card given by the service centre , if i register from you , can i just use that rather than wait for you to post the new sim ?)
*
1. go again is the fastest way
2. wait got no use if you got no replied by the sms that you are under processing, is the process takes time rather than sending the request takes times, so you should get the sms within 1 day
3. I am still not yet got such authourity to use center sim card, thats for sure need a new sim card

advise
go nearby center rather than the previous 1 cool2.gif

QUOTE(Davird @ Jun 11 2013, 07:14 PM)
i had the worst experience with u-mobile.
after being with maxis for 12 years, i went and ported over to umobile. took maxis less than 2 hours to be ported over.

however after 2 weeks of using umobile i called up customer service to ask why my 1st bill is so high, by right i should be paying rm130 max, but my bill shot up to 300++ and the free sms and calls as stated did not reflect in the bill. the dude by the name of mr k was rubish. didnt understand english, talk english until i felt that i studied the wrong english in school. so i asked to be transferred to the supervisor. MR Mani came on the phone. put me on hold for 6 times to check God knows what, and finally told me that they have to check my contract. my contract is not with them, they cannot see, cannot decide, cannot give me an answer.
Now comes the punch line............

I asked, so i think it's my mistake to join a mobile network that does not know anything.
Mr Mani: yes, because you are stupid, sir.

i was pissed and very angry and this became my 1st time screaming and shouting over the phone. I asked for his manager. his answer, manager is on holiday and will only be back next year.
i hung up.

i was so pissed, i drove to the nearest maxis center at 8pm and requested to be ported back. 9pm message came from maxis, port process started. 9.15pm another message came saying declined due to overdue payment. WTF? how is it overdue? current yes but overdue? so, i called up u mobile. again went through hell talking to a girl who didnt know what was porting and she hung up the call.

more pissed, i logged on their self service portal. found the amount i needed to pay. and paid. called maxis and told payment done ask them t redo the port. today another message came saying porting declined because of overdue payment.

called umobile - i have current payment of rm4.05 that i made last nite to maxis that i need to settle, like seriously. Umobile = 100% bullsht. I wanted to ask then wtf about free calls and sms and all that but decided no point talking to a bunch of donkeys.

you guys think u-mobile is great. but wait till u have an issue with your bill, line or whatever. I just wish you good luck. stay away from them.
*
we could understand your pissing and we all know what U-Mobile customer service and Call Center are S**K, and therefore we are here to discuss and find some alternative solutions rather than hoping them to improve in very soon. You did the right things to let us aware of such problem exists but at the same time we also need to look for the solution IF some one else is experiencing as well.

I think first still you need to look for a better and experience dealer to report this issue to the back end account team to correctly matching your bill, some recommendation is Seri kembangan the Mines and Setapak Festival City Mall Unique Phone, Kepong near DIGI center U Zon, for umobile center, supervisor @ 1 U is not bad as well. Since U-Mobile is still very new after launching the U28 voice plans, therefore some billing issues do exist and the only the well trained and better staff or dealer may give you a help.

haha so next time you should try asking @ lyn for some advices too, that is why the thread exist. But still you need to refund back the overcharged amount.

QUOTE(zaharzakariah @ Jun 12 2013, 10:23 AM)
yup, since 2g network is MAXIS
