its never too late to start bro, i don't touch any SharePoint stuff until i am at 3rd year of working. so, if i may say that i have only 2 years experience doing SharePoint stuff and yet i earning this much not because of the experience of 5 years, its merely about 2 years only! however, your current job vw wintel and exchange are very important since most of enterprise are using that technologies. so you are always in demand. no worries about that!

i had received 3 calls from headhunters who want to recommend me to their client about SharePoint job vacancy. what does it means? SharePoint got a lot of demand and yet not many people are doing SharePoint ( if I'm not mistaken). If you want to learn SharePoint, find a SharePoint support role in any company that are using it, from there you can start on your SharePoint journey. You can learn by yourself, i don't see university teach SharePoint as part of their MS lesson. So, just grab the opportunity and learn it well!
