I agree with you. I do smoke, but at least I don't drink and party excessively like some of my peers do. Too expensive to party in KL tongue.gif

Been reading a couple of sites relating to migration to Australia / NZ. Thinking of moving there after two years of work.

Years spent in company : 6 months
Company : 100% Bumi
Industry : Oil n Gas (Valves)
Tenure : Contract (waiting for permanent)
Employment Level : Executive

What's your gpa? If it's above 3.0 in a good university, you can try for Petronas, which pays quite well. I know a bit about oil and gas industry because a lot of my family members and 80% of my friends are working in that field (I am from UTP). You will get paid handsomely as an engineer smile.gif

i'm searching for new job scope.....
i no idea whether really got career growth.....
but during interview......the panel.....said got career growth....

my opinion.....is that at the moment i could not be too demanding.....due to my current job scope is quite limited and lack of knowledge.....
*
Can you tell me more on what you are doing now and what the other company has offer you?
Then maybe you can weigh the pros and cons of both companies and choose the best one that suits you smile.gif

at the moment my job focus on AP - payment
my company need a staff to concentrate on AP...due to huge transaction / volume

i've been doing the job for almost 4 years....kind of bored...
if u ask why not do job rotation? i looking forward for job rotation....but the culture in the company quite old fashion...more on internal matters...unable to disclose....

this new company is in logistic industry.....
which totally different nature with my current company....

i read this logistic annual report....listed company
group performance....profitable
but company performance.....losses.......
based on the info..this company got a lot of subsidiaries.....

if i choose this company.....the journey to the office will be a bit longer.....due to traffic....
the location surrounding with factories

what other point that i need to consider?
i really dont have idea....hows the working environment in that company......increment....bonus.....benefits..
i dont have friends working over there.....

i did google around about review of this company.......but very little information about working experience / comment from the staff.....

kind of gamble if i join......

the hr call me whether want to join or not? i said....interested.....currently waiting for the offer letter.....

at the moment....my heart want to move out from the current company.....
but......looking for better company that i can work with......
i dont want to join new company for short period.......it will give -ve impact....
*
By reading your post, I can tell that the Logistics company that has offered you is not doing very well.

And it seems you have grown tired of your current company because of your jobscope. Well, quite frankly, it would be a bad idea to go leave a company because you have grown tired of what you do. If you think that there are no more career growth for you in your current company, feel free to leave. But still, I wouldn't recommend you going to a worse company than your current one.

IMHO, I think you should stay and ask for a raise if you are doing your job well and exceed expectations. Else, stick around first, and look at a better job. Making rash decisions without thinking thoroughly will only bring more hurt than you already have.

anyone expert in HR?

is it normal practice...after probation....there will be increment?

if the offer letter does not mention anything regarding increment after probation.....should i ask the HR?
*
If it is not stated in the offer letter, there should not be an increment after probation period.

And no, it is not a common practice to increase your salary after probation period...

how much salary can get for a IT diploma fresh grad for 1st year until 7th years ?
*
I would say fresh grad pay for diploma holders would range around RM1600-RM2000.
After working a few years, I think you should save a little money to get a degree, because career growth for diploma holders are limited.

I think you may be. Try finding a job with higher pay and better perks if you think your career and personal growth in the current organization is stunted.

why do you want to go for CCIE first instead of a degree? Big MNCs will value the degree more than the certifications, no?
