QUOTE(Elsewhere12 @ Aug 30 2012, 08:47 PM) ya, I'm 25. Thx for the opinion.. Actually my net income would be less than half of it, as i got mortgage loan plus room rental at thr.. Earn more, spent more... You have a mortgage loan and you still rent a room?Actually your net income is after you deduct tax/EPF/SOCSO, not after your expenses. |

QUOTE(dexmonata @ Oct 6 2012, 01:32 PM) i always wondering how come most engineer here with 3++ exp only can earn as much as more than 4K? some of them i see reach until 6K..wow.. I'm also having this query. What sort of engineer can command such pay with just 3+ years experience? I know engineer friends from many different fields who earn way less with similar/more experience. Taking into account starting pay would be the market rate of around RM2.5-3k.is there anything that i miss out? please exclude the OnG field...that 1 is totally different.. |

If you'd read again carefully what I said, you would notice that is what I said. |

Is it me or are others reading my post wrongly?
I just mentioned that the starting pay was in the region of RM2.5k-3k, not current pay after 3+ years. Obviously there are increments but not to the region of earning more than RM4k, which is the puzzling thing that dexmonata and I are having. Do not assume that my friends are underperforming or whether they should be bargaining for better pay. I would say it's according to the market rate. Getting paid more than RM4k (up to RM6k) for a regular engineer in a typical field with 3+ years experience is uncommon and out of the norm, thus the query.
