Thanks for your view as an employer.

Lets think from a 3rd party observer on the job seeker. Because of this 'bad impression', to avoid it he/she has to slough it out for years at a company with poorer career benefits and opportunities?

Example below: Job hopper = divorcee (both also bad impression 1)
What happen if he unfortunate to marry Rosmah as first marriage, he force to make the marriage work? I rather he bite the bad impression as a divorcee than slough it out with her. Likewise, same with companies.

Actually from the beginning is also not encouraged. You haven't learnt much and yet you start jumping to another company.

Imagine if you are the employer, will you take the risk to hire a job hopper? After your investment in this person, you know he/she will leave you very soon? What's the point?

I mean if stay for 3 years like that still acceptable unless due to any special reasons, then of course no point continue staying there and you may look out again.

I have faced similar situation when I interviewed candidates for R&D positions and HR junior positions. I regard myself as a junior Exec as well but I'm amazed by how these people keep jumping around over the years. Only when I further drilled in, I will know how much substance they have. Again, I'm emphasizing that this is based on my own experience and have no intention in offending any party.

I guess, you might overlook on this part: "I mean if stay for 3 years like that still acceptable unless due to any special reasons, then of course no point continue staying there and you may look out again."

By the way, I'm also a normal employee just like you guys. biggrin.gif
Though in the company, I'm representing the employer.

A fresh graduate's career potential is molded in his early years... 3 years will snuff the life out of him/her. Looking at salary thread you already know how HR 'values' a staff- BASED ON HIS LAST DRAWN SALARY. If he realizes he/she is in a shithole, get outta there!!!

After 3 years scenario, when he hop to his 2nd company:
If Ah Seng had a bad start-
1. Look Ah Seng the IT guy, we really are offering you alot already, 30 % increment and 15 offdays. You had only RM 1800/mth salary previously and 8 days annual leave. You should be grateful. Ah Seng: "Wtf i was stuck in chinapek company and I listened to fruitie to be loyal for 3 years!"

If Ah Seng had a good start-
2. Wow Ah Seng, we really like your skills. Im afraid I cannot offer more than RM 1000 increment from your previous company. You will be taking home RM 6000/mth but management has promised to review you for a promotion in 1 years time as written in this job offer contract. Ah Seng: "Now we're talking"
