I'm really underpaid . 8 years working in mechanical engineering industry only earn 3.5K/month .working in automotive sector in Malaysia does't give you competitive salary . thinking to move out and find new environment.
*
Pity you man...but as engineer..its hard to earn a lot as other profession..

I m also mechanical engineer and my salary are far far away compare to my siblings who works in different field..
But consider ur experience and your salary, looks like you are really underpaid.

As long as you're willing to learn software despite your engineering background, you can try to apply. But average increment here for lower rank is just around 12-15%, you need to perform a lot more than expectation and have some luck to get 20% and above...

even 12% also still a lot higher than my current company.... rclxub.gif

Actually i consulted some people working in Petronas they said they are still studying even thier salary is 10k cause to them 10k is consider still low in Malaysia living expenses
*

I believe the living expense you mentioned above are towards luxury lifestyle...

Come on man, age 30 with 10k salary, i dont see any difficulties here unless you own fancy sport car and stay at high residential bungalow...
Its about how we manage our money and expenses..i m sure you know that..
