I'm really underpaid . 8 years working in mechanical engineering industry only earn 3.5K/month .working in automotive sector in Malaysia does't give you competitive salary . thinking to move out and find new environment.

Is the package good? Despite the high percentage increment I still find a lot more other companies are offering a lot higher (some other MNC/ OnG).

As long as you're willing to learn software despite your engineering background, you can try to apply. But average increment here for lower rank is just around 12-15%, you need to perform a lot more than expectation and have some luck to get 20% and above...

what is this? don't expect high pay if you are working in regular hour? 

truth is i'm still a student but through my perspective working hour is also important i mean 12 hours( rest time excluded )is consider like ur boss is actually abusing u which mean 8 hours is consider a normal working hour thats what my brother told me ? == ? is he wrong /

Actually i consulted some people working in Petronas they said they are still studying even thier salary is 10k cause to them 10k is consider still low in Malaysia living expenses
