I was expecting 30% increase but its just around 25%. But I am ok with it because I'm looking at more opportunities opened up ahead for me now.

I worked with local chinaman company and using the phrase I learned from this forum, I do the "one leg kick all" type of job. I am a hard nut to crack but after all these years, I have to admit I was almost at my breaking point. Looking forward to work with my new company.

To be honest, I don't know why I'm posting here, I frequent this thread and feel sad sometimes on how much value some employers place on their employees. Just wanted to share my journey to those that might be interested in pursuing the management consulting line.

My history, studied in a local college here in KL. I did a twinning program and graduated with an Australian degree but did not get a chance to go to Aus. Got my first job as a web developer and shifted to a small yet ambitious company promoting security products. I got my first real break and shifted to a local consultancy firm here doing primarily IT implementation jobs.

Slowly gained experience in consulting and gained entry to the world of Big 4 consulting. Stayed in Big 4 for a few years and finally landed my dream consultancy job. Not really a top student in college played a lot of CS, didn't go to a prestigious university and don't have a masters yet I broke into the fabled echelons of management consulting thru sheer determination and grabbing opportunities when they appear.

So to those that have any ambition to be a management consultant, my advise don't give up, don't let anybody tell you that you cant do it, be thick skinned, work smart and take risks.
